students and business people.• Connect students across the world with each other.• Connect faculty across the world with each other and the
author.

Provide updates on current events.
• The world is a dynamic place and most faculty understand the importance of incorporating current events into their curriculum.
• Unfortunately, most faculty are pressed for time.• Real time, publisher or author provided current event
updates are invaluable to faculty.• Faculty to faculty updates are of equal or greater
value.12/14/2009

Prevent immediate obsolescence.
• In many disciplines some published material is out of date before the ink on the textbooks and other readings is dry.
• Social media tools can be the hub for ensuring that faculty always have up to date information.
• Social media can act as a clearing house for the latest faculty and publisher research.
• People acting as “information filters” can distill and distribute academic and technical information into a form suitable to students and businesses.
