The recorded voice over is used over a few cutaways at the beginning of the report.
Mel Ruvolo
The voice over track can be heard well. it's very clear and smooth and is at just the right volume that the wild track is heard slightly.
Mel Ruvolo
The mic recordings can be seen in the timeline and are exactly matched to the footage.
Mel Ruvolo
All the audio is in sync and can be heard clearly.
Mel Ruvolo
The copyright free jingle can be heard at the beginning of the report.
Mel Ruvolo
The music is heard in the right places of the report. it is very clear and the volume is faded in and out and lowered so that the presenter can be heard.
Mel Ruvolo
The graphic is seen at the beginning and throughout the report in the top left hand corner of the screen.
Mel Ruvolo
I created a basic logo that is themed to match a news channel. It was quite basic design that i created in photoshop.
Mel Ruvolo
captions appear throughout the report to introduce a reporter or interviewee.
Mel Ruvolo
I designed several similar captions and gave them an eye-catching design's using bright colours and shades. although some of the text can look quite plain.
Mel Ruvolo
The 60 second script can be found on my blog.
Mel Ruvolo
I wrote a script that included all the essential information from the crime scene. It was wrote using formal speech.
Mel Ruvolo
At the beginning of the report when the it switches to the on scene reporter, sound from the location can be heard
Mel Ruvolo
I decided to have a straight cut from the presenter in studio to the on scene reporter. the difference n location is noticeable by the ambient sound in the background. i didn't use the 'fly by' clip which may have given it a better look.
Mel Ruvolo
This can be seen on the timeline as most audio and video clips include fades.
Mel Ruvolo
I have effectively faded in and out the appropriate video and audio clips so that the report flows and there is no jittery cuts.
Mel Ruvolo
This can be seen in the video where i have made the graphic slide in and out of the screen.
Mel Ruvolo
Although i found problems making the graphic slide in without any jitters, it gave an effective look to the video and matched the conventions to any news report.
