in Statesboro, March 22, 2006 to Eva
and Stacy Spivey. She has a sister,
Ansley, who is a senior, and a brother,
Caden who is in 8th grade here at
JRT. Her favorite subject is ELA and Mrs. McCoy is her favorite teacher.
She likes her because she has some rules, but is not super strict. She
enjoys playing softball, tennis, track and is involved in FBLA and FCA at
school. When Brinley grows up, she wants to be a food scientist.
Mrs. McCoy has been teaching for 18 years. This is her first year teaching 6th grade ELA at JRT. She was born in Jack-sonville, FL. Mrs. McCoy graduated f rom Georg ia Southern Univer-sity three times B.S. Ed., in Middle Grades; M.Ed. & Ed.S. Reading Education. Sharing her love for reading with students is what she enjoys most about her job. She believes learning is a continual process that happens daily, but one must be willing to learn. from Georgia Southern University with a B.A. in Spanish. He enjoys reading,
watching movies, and now is training for a half marathon. His favorite music is
80’s Hair. Mr. Clark’s favorite food is whatever is in front of him. The Office is
his favorite TV Show. He enjoys
teaching kids because they help
him stay young and hip. He loves
knowing where he will be after
learning, so for each topic he
shows the kids what they will
achieve together, then start from
the beginning. Challenges he faces as a teacher is portraying the more difficult
skills and concepts in a way the kids understand. Mr. Clark’s favorite dream job
would be the one where he lays in a bed for NASA. An interesting fact about Mr.
Clark is he is the founding father of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Brooke Dunford is in her 21st year teaching. She teaches 8th grade ELA. She loves the relationships she forms with her students as

decorating her house. Her favorite food is
spaghetti and her favorite TV Show is Big
Brother. She has three kids, Dustin,
Leyton and Kyndall. Mrs. Dunford has
recently been blessed with her first grand-
child, Will. She also wanted to make sure
everyone knew Danni Thompson was her
favorite niece.
Mrs. Dunford’s favorite dream job is
teaching of course, but she would also
like to be a house flipper. The person she admires the most is her mom, because she
is the epidemy of strength and courage.
Student Council has been a part of JR Trippe for many
years. Four students from each grade are elected by
their peers to serve on the council. The members serve
as leaders among their classmates as well as having
many responsibilities throughout the year. Being a
member of Student Council requires a high degree of
commitment, a willingness to be a positive example for
others at all times, and helping to create an atmosphere
at JRT of acceptance, school pride, and togetherness.
Some of the responsibilities include putting the flags up
and down, making announcements, selling tickets to
events, and promoting school pride within the school.
The Student Council is instrumental in the schools talent
show. The members help sell tickets, organize and
decorate for the show, help with tryouts, and serve as the
hosts for the actual talent show event. The Student
Council members are to strive to be good role models
for the entire school as well as working toward a suc-
cessful future.
