Soak it upUse a cold compress or soak

the sunburned area in cold water for 15 minute intervals. The cold will aid in reducing swelling and removing heat from the skin.

Take a dip

For large areas of sunburn, add oatmeal to a cool bath to soothe the skin. Grind the oatmeal up in a food processor before adding to your bath.

Try some vinegarVinegar contains acetic acid,

which is an ingredient found in Aspirin. Acetic acid helps ease sunburn symptoms, including itching, pain, and inflammation.

Soak a few sheets of paper towels in white vinegar and apply them to the burned area until they are dry. Repeat as needed.

Go for aloeApply a thin coat of aloe vera to

your sunburned skin. Aloe vera reduces inflammation and pain, and relieves itching.

Ensure that you’re buying pure aloe vera for the best results.

Try a green tea compressBrew a pot of green tea and let it

cool.

Soak a cloth in the tea and use it as a compress for sunburned skin. Green tea offers ingredients that not only reduce inflammation, but help protect the skin from ultraviolet damage.

Avoiding sunburnThe best way to prevent sunburn is to use

sunscreen and stay out of the sun as much as possible. The sun is strongest between 10am and 4pm.

Apply sunscreen 15-30 minutes before you go outside.

Wear sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher.

Be sure to apply again every 2 hours. If you have sensitive skin, there is

sunscreen made for kids, sunscreen for faces, etc.
