Track notesby Max Fewtrell (R-ace GP)
T1 On the qualifying lap, you want to get a good exit out of the hairpin and get on the kerb a bit at T1. Then, you go as smooth as you can with the brakes and power application.
T2-6 This is a really quick complex. In the first part, you just want it flat so you’ve got to really attack the entry and make sure your line is right. It’s all about car placement through these corners. You try to make your life a bit easier for T4 and make sure you get a good exit onto the long back-straight. You want to keep to the right flat and lift as little and as smoothly as you can for T4 and then to do it again for T5.
T7This is another really quick corner where you want to be smooth on the pedals to not upset the balance of the car.
T8-9One of the best places to overtake. You want to brake late, but avoid the bumps on the outside, because it can really catch you out! After the straight at the exit of T9 leads to another straight and you run flat out through T10 and T11.
T13-15Late braking into T13, which is slightly banked. Along with T16 it is one of the deepest braking zones. Then you want move across for T14 and make sure you get a good exit as you come on to another long straight.
T16-18You want to brake right on the kerb, as late as possible and try to avoid oversteer. This is great place to overtake. Then, you take a wide and just turn straight for the last hairpin and make sure to keep it close to the kerb – it’s quite narrow!
