Welcome to Term 4 Week 5! Book Fair This week we hold our special ‘Book Fair’ on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. During this time, staff work with parents, teachers, librarians, media specialists, and principals to connect kids to high-quality books. This is a time to unite kids with literature and bring our community together to support students’ access to the reading and viewing of books. It is great time to provide you with the opportunity to engage in reading with your children and tune in to their passions. Students will be involved in making wish lists for books and there will be times to view the books for purchase. P&C News Last Friday students dressed in Mufti to support the fundraising of this year’s P&C. The members of the P&C have been working extremely hard to support the school, students and community. Their dedication, organisation and support is to be acknowledged! These members continue to work for you and your children and deserve recognition for going above and beyond. On behalf of our school community, I would like to say thank you for the work that you do. You are all AMAZING! P&C Meeting TONIGHT! If you would like to become involved with our P&C please come along to the meeting TONIGHT at 6pm in the staffroom. Meetings are usually over by 7.30pm.
Come along tonight for the first time for a chance to win a $50 canteen voucher!! The voucher was kindly donated by Danielle Keenan who won the ‘Tell them from Me’ survey.
This is a great way to support your child’s education and contribute to your school and community. Uniform and Hats A reminder that as we start to warm up we begin to see an increase in lost property. Please remember to label clothes and hats to ensure their safe return. As the warmer months approach please be mindful that the school has a ‘no hat- no play’ policy. Please remind your child to wear a school hat at all times to ensure they are safe in the sun. The wonderful ladies in the office have a uniform supply that can be purchased from the office. This includes hats, shorts, shirts, pants etc. Payments of cash, EftPos, cheque and POP (Parent online payments) are accepted. Kinder Orientation Kinder orientation at school will be held on Wednesday 14th November at 10am. Parents and children will meet in Kester Hall. Parents stay for the information session while children go to kitchen for a cooking activity. Morning tea in the kitchen provided by school and children. Mobile Dental Visit The Mobile Dental Van will be visiting Alma from Wednesday next week. All children attending will receive a free toothbrush and go into a draw to win a free JB Hi-Fi voucher. Dental forms must be returned by next Tuesday 20th November.
