The visit consisted of stories, making activities and play sessions both inside the classrooms and in the outside play area. Children attend school so they can spend some time practising being Foundation students in readiness for next year. Remember to bring a hat because if the weather is fine we will be spending some time outside.
Our second Transition Day will be held on Tuesday 3 December from 9.30am to 10.30am. Our final transition session will be on Tuesday 10 December from 9.00am – 11.30am. Notices with full details of our first Transition Day have been distributed in Pre-schools or sent to parents at the start of this term. If you have not received a note please contact Ms Michell.

Winter Health – Beating
the Bugs In Australia, our influenza 'flu' season typically runs from
May to October, usually peaking in August.
It is just not possible to stop all bugs from spreading at
school, however, a lot of illnesses can be prevented and con-
trolled simply by practicing good hygiene.
Handy hygiene tips for you and your family
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or
sneezing
Throw used tissues in plastic-lined rubbish bins
Wash your hands with soap and water, preferably warm
water if available
Reduce the spread of germs by avoiding touching your eyes,
nose and mouth
Graduation – Grade 6
Starting at 6pm at the Bendigo Pottery on Monday 9 December is Graduation for our Grade Six students and their families. An invitation has been sent home. Please contact Mrs Parson’s for further information if required.
Whole School Awards Night Tuesday 10 December
This year’s Whole-School Awards Night will take place on Tuesday 10 December. The family BBQ will commence at 5.30pm – 6.00pm leading up to the Awards Night starting at 6.00pm.
The Awards Night will begin at 6.00pm and include performances from all classes. It is expected the night will conclude by 8.00pm.
As all children at the school will be involved in this night we ask that parents keep this date free and we look forward to your attendance.
The format of the Awards Night is as follows:
· The Awards Night will take place in the Gym. We ask that pre-school children remain seated during all performances.
· School children will be seated in their class groups in front of the stage area so they are ready to go on for their performance.
. Please remember that our school grounds are smoke and alcohol free zones.
We look forward to you joining us for the BBQ and Awards celebrations.
Asthma & Hay Fever Season
If children need medication for Asthma or Hay Fever throughout the school day please bring it to the school office. The medication is required to be clearly named with pharmacy label attached and in date. A medication form is available at the office for you to fill out, just ask Sue or Kristie for one. We would appreciate knowing if your child has been medicated before school on any particular day.
End of Term Dismissal
All students will be dismissed at 2.00pm on Friday 18 December. Farewell assembly 1.45pm.
