Many countries (including Bulgaria) are rich in zeolite deposits. The present publication is a brief overview of the use of natural zeolite (clinoptilolite) to remove heavy metal ions from wastewater. Special attention is devoted to the study of the ability of natural zeolite-clinoptilolite from the region of Kardzhali to immobilize ions of manganese from model mine water. Sorption of Mn was realized using zeolite (clinoptilolite) from Beli Plast field, Kardzhali. synthetic solutions with different Mn concentration were used in the experiments and the influence of pH on the adsorption process was studied. , . , Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+,Cd2+, Pb2+ .. , (Moreno et al., 2001, Baily et al., 1999). , - , .
