Write you own custom connection request messages.

Try to personalize the connection request.

Do not use these words to describe yourself, creative, oraganizational, effective, motivated, extensive expertise, track record, innovation, responsible, analytical, problem solving.

Write your own custom thank you message for connecting.

Upgrade to a premium account, highly recommend it.

Have two types of connections “tight” and “loose”.

Post comments and like your followers comments, builds good faith.

Get recommendations.

Setup your endorsements and click endorsements for your followers.

Join groups, you can join a maximum of fifty groups.

Update you profile regularly.

Customize your website links.

Recommend others.

Get involved with a group.

Be sparing with your connections, don’t connect with everyone.

Respond to all Linkedin invitations.

Don’t send more than one invite to one person.

Customize your invitations with custom copy and subject lines.

Use the "Like" feature when you see a helpful update from one of your connections. Doing this shares that update with your entire network.
