CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION | NOVEMBER 5-7, 2018 2
In February 2018 the U.S. Energy Information Agency released its Annual Energy Outlook with projections to 2050. This comprehensive guide introduces us to the new global energy marketplace reshaped by the U.S. shale boom. The Executive Oil Conference delves into the doubling of Permian Basin oil production that occurred over the past five years to 2M bpd and how the break-even point of a fracked well in the region has dropped as low as $25 a barrel.
Exhibit where Permian Basin’s top producers discuss strategiesThe Executive Oil Conference focuses on how Permian Basin producers developed innovative new drilling and completion technologies to maximize output and reduce costs – dropping their break-even point. The Executive Oil Conference delivers a highly effective mix of data, insight and forecasts about financing, exploration, drilling, production and delivery, presented by esteemed industry leaders in a thought-provoking environment.
For its 100+ exhibitors, the Executive Oil Conference and Exhibition attracts over 1,680 qualified attendees each year. Hart Energy reaches out to oil and gas operators with incentives designed to bring their most influential managers to the conference. Exhibitors will be networking with influencers who make decisions about the technologies being presented.

The oil market downturn taught investors that no one has much visibility into the future. A clear line of sight one quarter can soon be overshadowed by unforeseen events. Even as crude prices recover, world oil supply remains in a glut. Oil price strength may be short-lived.
Regardless of price movement, one oil-producing region that continues to attract investment is the low-cost Permian Basin spread over west Texas and New Mexico. The region has been churning out crude continuously for nearly 100 years—30 billion barrels of oil since in 1921. Incredibly, despite that impressive history, analysts maintain its best days are yet to come.
Regional Highlights:n The International Energy Agency (IEA) said that oil and gas production is expected to double by 2023 in the Permian Basinn Pipeline capacity is expected to grow
o EPIC announced in December it will sanction its proposed 590 bpd crude pipeline from the Permian Basin to Corpus Christi
o XTO Energy declared plans to triple Permian Basin production by 2025 and invest more than $2 billion in terminal and transportation infrastructure
o Enterprise Products Partners said its new Midland-to-Sealy crude oil pipeline flowed an average 330,000 bpd after coming online in November
o Plains All American received enough interest in its 585,000 bpd Cactus II pipeline to conduct a second binding open season. First flow is scheduled for 2019
o Magellan Midstream Partners reported significant interest from potential shippers in its proposed 350,000 bpd pipelinen Water midstream services emerge as water drives 20-30% of drilling and completion costs and up to 50% of operating cost, said Jim Summers, CEO H2O Midstream LLCn Surging demand for frac sands brought a wave of new sand mines in West Texas
o Black Mountain Sand opened its first Texas mine in January and plans to open another in Winkler County
o Preferred Sands will open a plant capable of producing 3.3 million tons of frac sands in Ector County Texas
