2017AFTJBentoContestTheAssociationofFloridaTeachersofJapanese(AFTJ)willholdabentocontestinfall.ThetraditionaldietaryculturesoftheJapanese(whatwecallWashokuinJapanese)wasinscribedin2013ontheUNESCO’sListoftheIntangibleCulturalHeritageofHumanity.ThepurposeofthisbentocontestistoenjoyandcherishJapan’scuteandcoolfoodculture.Wearelookingforphotosofcuteandcreativebentodecoratedinafoodcontainer.Theentrantswillneedtosubmit2photos:1photoofthebentoand1photooftheparticipantmakingthebento.Thedeadlineofthesubmissionis5:00pm(EasternTime)onFriday,October20.The1stand2ndwinnerswillbeawardedwithprizes.1.ContestPolicy

4.BentoRequirements:

1. Submissionshouldbeaphotoofacuteandcreativebentofittedinafoodcontainerandanotherphotoofthecontestantactuallymakingthebentoentry.

2. Allphotosmustbeoriginal;createdsolelybytheentrant;haveneverbeensubmittedinanyothercontestorwonanypreviousawards,andmustnotinfringetherightofanythirdparty.

3. Arrangementofthefoodmustbenolargerthanactualsizeof10”x10”.Anythingfittingwithinthesemeasurementsisacceptable,includingbutnotlimitedtobentobox,lunchboxandothercontainers.Fooddecoratedonadishorplateisnotallowed.

4. Oneentrantmaysubmitupto3separate,distinctcreationsasindividualphotos.5. PhotomustbeJPG,JPEGformatofgoodquality.TakephotosusingtheJPGorJPEG

settingathighresolutionwithaminimumof2000x2000pixels.6. Provideabriefexplanationofthebentodesignconceptsundertheentrant’snameand
