Th e Salem wildcats will enter their own Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tourney under new Coach Andy Fehrenbacher and will look to right the ship aft er a 2-10 start.
Th e Wildcats will continue to look to 6'3" Junior Brendan Boles and 6'4" Cole Steward to lead the young Cats. Coach Fehrenbacher will also have 6'4" Demond Crosby, 6'2" Kaden Wayer, 6'4" Connor Brooks and their big man, 6'7" tall, 295
pound Tristan Hanks. Th is gives the Cats plenty of size to bang in the paint for Coach Fehrenbacher. Th e Cats will use their SIT to set the stage for their run to the
play-off s. Th e Cats will also use 5'7" Eric Schoonover, 6'0 Max Phillips, 6'0" Hayden Wimberly, 5'10" Dawson Linder, 6'2" Shaun reid, 6'0" Chris watkins and a pair of
seniors in 6'1" Adam Bunnell and 6'2" Victor Milner. Th at gives Coach Fehrenbacher a complete roster to use in this year's tourney.
Coach Andy Fehrenbacher will take the wildcats into the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament, hoping they will be the tourney spoiler. Th at would give his Cats the confi dence they need for the rest of the season.

Th e newest team in the Salem Invitational Tournament is the Phoenix of Willoughby, ohio. Th e Phoenix, coached by James Valle, are off to a nice 11-3 record. Andrews osborne is a private K-12 school that sits on three hundred acres just east of Cleveland, ohio.
Th e Phoenix are being led by 6'5" Arturo Sanchez, a junior who averages a double-double, along with other solid players like Enrique Gil-Garcia who stands 6'4", and
Te'John Chapman, a 5'9" freshman. If you have picked up on the multinational roster of the Phoenix, you're right, with 6'4" Weichen Liu, 5'7" Tony Jiang, 6'0" Martin rong, 5'10
Josiah Collins, 5'11" Muluh Chi, 5'3" Simon Chen, 5'9" Qifan yang, 6'2" John Dalton, 5'8" Tom Mitrovich and 5'9" freshman Sydney Adams.
Th e Phoenix are a
team on the rise in ohio this season and they have played several games already this year outside of ohio and look to add some victories in Illinois this season in the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament. Th e Phoenix wear blue and white and have an enrollment of about 350. Andrews osborne Academy is not a new school, as it was estab-lished in 1910.

Coach Lee Bennett has the focus of his orphans squarely on the big prize, and that is to win this year's Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament for the twenty-second time. Coach Bennett knows that will take a tremendous eff ort by his orphans as this year's fi eld is loaded. Along with the usual group of Southern Illinois teams, this year there are a couple of dark horses in Andrews osborne and Th ornton Fractional North that give the SIT a new feel of the unknown.
Th e orphans will have their returning all
tourney point guard D'Aaron owens who will be joined by fellow orphans — back from last season's runner-up fi nish — 5'11" Lundyn Waithe, 6'4" Deven Toennies, 6'0" Tyriq Billberry and 6'3" Dawson Berry. While this
group is not real big, they are experienced and any one can lead them in scoring. Coach Bennett has his orphans standing at 14-2 at this point and they want more. Coach Bennett has a solid group off the bench led by a
talented clutch of sopho-mores in 6'1" Johnathan Keeler, 6'1" Javon Williams and 6'0" Jordan Maines, along with 6'4" Jared Glenn, which is the bench strength that they need. Th e rest of the orphans are 5'8" Tre'Von McClain,
5'11" Jachai Webster and 5'10" Gavin Cass.
Th e orphans already have a fi rst and a second in tourney play this season, and they are very hungry to add another championship trophy in this year's Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament.

Good Luck To All Teams!
Th e Tigers of Edwardsville are once again looking forward to playing in the Salem Invitational Tournament and trying to win it for the tenth time under Coach Mike Waldo. Th e Tigers are still that well oiled machine Coach Waldo puts on the court every year. Th e Tigers have been in the championship game eighteen times in the last twenty-two years.
once again Coach waldo has a horse to ride during this Salem Tournament in last year's MVP 6'5"
A.J. Epenesa. Also, Coach waldo has a smooth unit that, as always, he can play to his opposition's weaknesses in 5'10" Jack Marinko, 5'11" Sammy Green, 6'4" Mark Smith, 6'5" Zach Doornink, 6' 4"
ryan Pacatie, 6'6" Caleb Strohmeier, 6'4" oliver Stephen, 6'2" Jalyn Williams and 6'2" Chrys Colley. once again, Coach Waldo has the players to play either up-tempo or just slow the
pace down to a crawl. Th e Tigers are out to a
12-3 start and are the defending champions of the SIT. Coach Waldo would like 5'10" Kendall Abdur-rahman, 6'1" Nathan Kolesa, 6'1" Kent
roberts and 6'2" r.J. wilson to help that happen again. while playing a very good schedule, the Tigers are rolling right now and are very ready to defend their title at the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament.

Th e Flaming Hearts under Coach ron reed are playing solid bas-ketball at this time and are 9-5 going into the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament.
Th e Hearts aren't really big, with only 6'6" Jacob Donaldson alongside his two 6'3" teammates Jared Minor and Landon Wolfe, but Coach Reed's club gets the job done on the
boards. Th e rest of Coach reed's club will be the group that keeps the pressure on the opposition. Th ose players are 6'2" Alex Webb, 5'10" ryan
Sandifer, 6'0" Brady Scott, 6'1" Sean Zerrusen and fi ve 6'0" players, Michael Woltman, Mason Hull, Grant Wolfe, Brady Jackson and ryan
Huelsbusch. Th en there's also a pair of 6'1' juniors, Brent Beals and David Wallace.
Th e Flaming Hearts play in the Apollo Conference and have an
enrollment of 784 students. Th ey want to bring home the big trophy from the SIT for the fourth time which will springboard them into the play-off s.

Th e Green Wave are off to a slow start for Coach Josh Forsythe at 5-10, but they have better than average size which can be a match-up problem for some teams in the Salem Invitational Tournament. Th e Green Wave play in the Apollo Conference along with Effi ngham and Salem, so they know a little about the competition level of the SIT.
Coach Forsythe has 6'6" Braden Smith, 6'5" Justus Donaldson, 6'5" Sawyer Scott and a trio
of 6'3" players in Dalton Stephens, Drake Jeff ries and Nick poorman. Th is allows the Green wave to pound the boards and try to stuff the ball inside on
off ense. other players include 6'2" Zach Craig, 6'1" Davis Johnson, 5'10" Nick owens, 6'0" Jacob Woodyard, 6'2" Hayden Phillips, 6'1" reggie Brown and 6-2"
Wil Courtney, who all help Coach Forsythe play his style of basket-ball.
Th e Green Wave will try to jump start their second half run begin-ning with the SIT and get the wave rolling toward the play-off s in February. Th e Wave will try to pull off a major upset against Mt. Vernon in the fi rst round to kick off the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament.

Th e Mt. Vernon rams under Coach Doug Creel have drawn Mattoon for the fi rst round of the Sixty-Fift h Salem Tournament. Th e Rams are standing at 9-5.

Brytan Bowers, 6'2" Quinton Kujawa and 5'11 Andrew Ashby. Th is group will get the bulk of the minutes in the SIT.
Th e rams will try to crack the top three once again and

Th e Meteors come south this year for the fi rst time to play in the Sixty-Fift h Salem Invitational Tournament. Th ey become the second new team to play at Salem this season, which helps with the attendance that new teams bring. Th e Meteors will be coached by Tim Bankston and they will take the court in their purple and gold. Th e Meteors play in the South Suburban Conference of Chicago with an enrollment of 1,547, which makes them the second
largest team in the SIT.Coach Bankston has
plenty of size in his roster with 6'5" Tim Bankston, Jr., 6'5" Kevin Lawson, 6'5" Anthony Galvin, 6'6" Michael williams and a pair of 6'4" players in Jalen
Tribble and Terrell Porter. you can see the Meteors are tall and can board with the best of them, but Coach Bankston also has guards 6'2" Cobey Dillard, 5'10" Arthur Huggins, 5'10" Joel
Deere, 5'10" Corvon Houston, 5'11" Terrence Wilson, 6'0" Jayden Glover and 6'2" Jadacus Dixon.
Th is allows the Meteors of Coach Bankston's team to play up-tempo and physical
all the time, and so far they are playing at a 5-6 record in a very tough conference. Coach Bankston wants to get his Meteors the experience of playing in front of the huge crowds that the 65th Salem Invitational Tournament will bring.Team profi le by Mike Ellis
