Spring is here and with that comes tournament season. We’ve already had our first Women’s and Men’s Member/Member tournaments, you can see the results in the golf section of the newsletter.
Coming up on May 14th is the Men’s Club Breakfast Mixer. This tournament allows you to invite a guest to play with no fees! It’s a great tournament to meet other players. I encourage all men to play especially our new members.
June kicks off MGI season for us at SLOCC with the Couples MGI on the 24th & 25th. I hope all golfing couples will consider playing as we would love to see this tournament grow and become a “must play” event like our Women’s & Men’s Invitationals have become.
Since you get to invite the couple you’re playing with you’re guaranteed to enjoy the company! The competition is fun and friendly, the food will be fantastic, so line up a couple and mark your calendar for June 24th & 25th.
The Men’s Invitational follows in July and the Ladies in September. These premier tournaments are a great opportunity for our members to show off what their Club can do for members and guests at an invitational. I would encourage all of you who want to experience a fantastic multi day tournament to sign up as soon as entries open, as both tournaments will likely be “Sell Outs”.
Whether your highly competitive or just like the camaraderie, golf tournaments are a great way to spend a day (or two) at SLOCC and who knows, we might just be putting your name on one of our trophies!
See you at the Club,
Mike Stanton, CCM General Manager/COO

How does this Pilates reformer work? How does this Pilates reformer work? How does this Pilates reformer work? How does this Pilates reformer work?
A Pilates reformer combines smooth, controlled resistance with the body’s natural movements. It ensures an efficient, effective workout; one that gives you longer, leaner muscles and joint health as you increase flexibility. You are toning and strengthening every part of your body R abs, back, shoulders, arms, thighs, hips, knees and calves R with fluid, continuous movement. So you get endless core benefits as well as top to bottom toning.
The variable height elevations with numerous resistance levels offer maximum flexibility for all body types. Further, the tension cords are designed to help you work your muscles to exhaustion, (much like adding weights), at your preferred level. It’s easy to continue improving your workout as you go, challenging yourself as you become increasingly stronger.
People with injuries report having received rehabilitative improvement, even when physical therapy wasn’t working. Since many exercises can be performed sitting or reclining, the movements are only partially weight bearing, making them a viable solution. Sign up for a complimentary session with our certified Pilates instructor Marina Watts (805) 7043067.
