Event Description This event is a ceremonial welcome to over 400 international guests who will have come to Edmonton from over 50 countries to discuss research on environmental sustainability. They are excited to learn about the culture and history of Canada’s Indigenous peoples. Invitation to Performers We are looking for one drumming group, up to 10 powwow dancers and one Métis Fiddling/Jigging group to participate in the Grand Entry and to showcase their dancing style between 8:45pm and 9:30pm. Performers are also invited to join us for dinner prior to the Grand Entry and to stay later to join the traditional Dene Drum Dance. Honoraria will be provided.

drumming from local First Nations; Métis fiddling and jigging
