2015 In Gestures
PrefaceMy name is Jimmy Merari. I'm a professional software developer who has deep interest in street photography. This is my 2nd compilation year book. You can find my previous book here.
This year, I'm interested in playing with composition which built upon human gestures. Gesture in itself is a way how people subconciously expresses their inner side, be it coming from mind, feeling or emotion. Captured in photograph, gestures easily move the mind of the viewers to make up a story, suggested by what they saw in the photograph. Every body could make up their own story, subjectively. This is street photography, not documentary :p
And if we got lucky, gestures captured at the right instant will look like a dance in photograph. A fleeting and elusive dance that only happen in millisecond.
