BUEC High School Case Competition a Success
Published April 30 2012
The Brock University Entrepreneurship Club (BUEC) hosted the second BUEC
High School Case Competition on April 27, 2012. The challenge was open to
Grade 11 and 12 students in the Niagara region and aimed to teach analytical

Each of the seven teams had 150 minutes to analyze the given case and create a

students were asked to use their creativity to recreate the area and review
various segments of business such as accounting, finance, and marketing. These
ideas were then brought to the judging panel which was comprised of Brock
University staff and faculty.
Congratulations BUEC for planning and hosting a successful event!
Special thanks to Serge Douchkina, Ghata Vadher, Naveen Khan,
and Navjot Minhas for their help in organizing the event.

5 Days for the Homeless raises dollars,
food & awareness
Published on March 20 2012
The Brock 5 Days for the Homeless team spent 5 nights living on the
streets. No home, no bed, no showers, no smart phones. What they got
in return was priceless. The Brock team raised $2147 and 725 pounds of
food for Community Care. More importantly, they raised awareness of a
serious issue. Not only do they personally have a much greater
understanding of homelessness, they have brought greater awareness to
their fellow students and members of the community.
5 Days for the Homeless is part of a broader initiative organized by
University students across Canada.
