Home Improvements
As some of us experienced last summer, if we wait too long it can be hard to find a painter,
landscaper or construction firm that isn’t already booked for the spring and summer
months. Now is the perfect time to plan the work you want to do on your home or yard and
meet with contractors. Once your plans are finalized and you have a time frame for the
work, submitting your application and supporting documents to the DRC is the next step. If
you submit in the next couple of months, you will be ready for the work to begin when the
snowy months are behind us!
Neighborhood News
Crystal Valley Ranch saw a lot of
growth in 2017, and will experience
even more this year. From new
developments to the latest events
and news in the community, we’ll cover it
all in our new-and-improved newsletter.
Currently, our community has 875 homes,
and in 2018 we are projected to grow to
about 1,225 homes. Building is booming
with subdivisions by Richmond American
Homes, D.R. Horton and Kauffman Homes.
Homes aren’t the only thing being built
in Crystal Valley this year; an exciting
expansion to your favorite
community center is also underway!
Pinnacle Park, the new expansion to the
Pinnacle Clubhouse, is projected to open this
spring. We are so excited! Pinnacle Park is
sure to become the heart of Crystal Valley
Ranch. The park boasts an amphitheater, two
playgrounds, a dog park, BBQ/Shelter area,
multi-use sports field, and several trails. With
so many great features available, there is
sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!
There will be a grand opening event for the
park, so be sure to read future newsletters to
stay in the know.
Are you the proud owner of a new construction home who
needs to landscape your backyard by May 31? Or are you
someone who needs to repaint your house or make
changes to your yard this spring? The Design Review
Committee (DRC) meets year-round to review homeowner
applications, so it is never too early to start planning.

Town TalkEvents
There is always something fun happening in Castle
Rock! This year's annual Daddy-Daughter ball will
be held Feb. 9 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Douglas
County Events Center. For more information and to
purchase tickets, please go to the town website at
visitcastlerock.org/events.
New at the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV)!
Licensed Colorado drivers can now file a change of
address online at www.colorado.gov/dmv! Save
time, avoid standing in line for this simple task, and
complete these steps online.
There is also a new time-saving feature available
onsite at the DMV, a self-service kiosk for Douglas
County residents to renew Colorado vehicle
registrations. Here are a few quick tips:
- If you just had an emissions test or recently
renewed your auto insurance, wait 3-5 days before
trying to access this information at the kiosk. You
cannot use paper proofs of the emissions test or
insurance at the kiosk.
- The kiosk is available Monday - Friday from 7:30
am - 5 pm.
- More information is available at
www.douglas.co.us. Look for information and FAQs
under "Motor Vehicle Renewal Kiosk."
