2: Communication barriersSometimes it’s harder to communicate than at other times.

Helena works with elderly people at a care home. One man used to love reading. Now his sight is bad. He can’t read any more. He is very unhappy. Helena doesn’t know how to help.

Akio works with young children. One of the children can’t hear. Akio learned some Makaton. He wanted to help the child join in with the others.
