that would save and could be turned into new things. For instance if a family made a stew one night they could use the left overs with a mixture of vegetables to make the Woolton pie

• Films were used to increase the moral of the average people• Were mostly about love, conquering evil or the war itself

• Colour TV – meant war propaganda was on TV but only the wealthy had this luxury

• Microwave oven – women worked during war so made it easier for them to do household chores
