You may only quote a line once, even if it contains more than one poetic element.
REMEMBER: IF THE WORDS RHYME, THEY CANNOT BE COUNTED AS AN EXAMPLE OF ASSONANCE OR CONSONANCE.
EX: ALLITERATION: “By the men who moil for gold;” (2)When you are finished: staple the poem to the back of your
paper, submit it to the basket, work on your Favorite Things Poem
USE THE REMAINING CLASS TIME TO WORK ON YOUR “FAVORITE THINGS” POEM
THIS POEM NEEDS TO BE WRITTEN ABOUT SOMEONE YOU KNOW, WITH WHOM YOU HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP.
IT DOESN’T WORK WELL TO WRITE IT ABOUT AN IMAGINARY PERSON, OR WITH A CHARACTER OR CELEBRITY.
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO USE THEIR REAL NAME, USE A FALSE NAME, BUT USE A REAL PERSON.
