WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK

Walk to School Week is just around the

corner, and we are encouraging children and families to walk to school as much as

possible.

From 16-20th May, leave your car at home

and take the 5-day ‘Walk to School’ challenge!

This will help to encourage a healthy

lifestyle and reduce air pollution.

NELL BANK

Our Year 4 classes are very excited

because their Nell Bank residential is not far away. The children will be

taking part in all kinds of activities,

from the mud obstacle course to den building and pond dipping! They will

even visit the famous Cow and Calf rocks.

We hope that as many of our Year 4

children as possible can attend the trip.

So, if you haven’t done so already, please speak to your child’s teacher to

complete a permission slip.

Here some photos from last year, so

you can see all the great things they did:

Have a lovely weekend. Get your umbrellas at the ready, the forecast is

rain!

Stuart Herrington,

Principal.

BRADFORD BULLS ART CLUB VISIT

This week, our Bradford Bulls Art Club

visited Saltaire and Salt’s Mill as part of

their work. The children found out all about David Hockney and the different

types of art he produced.

The group were fantastically well

behaved, and produced some excellent work of their own in their sketch books

and on iPads. Members of the public even commented on the quality of the

children’s artwork. Well done to

everyone who attended the trip, you are a credit to our school!
