Join us at Borderview Research Farm on Thursday, July 25, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for our UVM Extension Northwest Crops and Soils 12th Annual Field Day. Receive up-to-date research information, as well as view many research plots and experiments. We will share highlights from the last twelve years of research.

In the morning, we will tour the research experiments and hear about results from the NWCS team. Afternoon workshops will allow you to spend time learning about specific topics. This year’s afternoon intensives will include:

Hemp and Hops—general agronomics, research results, irrigation, fertility management, and pest management.

Cover Crops—techniques for seeding, variety evaluations, roll and crimp management, and benefits to the soil.

Getting Started with Grazing—setting up a grazing plan, evaluating land needs, watering systems, fencing, and paddock management.

Beans & Corn—selecting varieties for the food grade market, growing specialty crops, processing, and handling.

Precision Agriculture and UVM Innovative Equipment—join Scott Magnan’s Custom Service for information.

But wait – there’s more! In addition to exhibitors, we will have a “Getting Started with Grazing” tent information and products on display. Enjoy a BBQ lunch, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and samples from Von Trapp Brewing.
