How do we interview?

1. Goto “Courses” tab on

5. Second person runs the

video recording

6. Third person is

interviewed

Some tips on

interviewing

Here are some important rules:

1. Interviews must always feel safe and

honored

2. Never tease or make fun. This will end

the interview. Always encourage

3. Be professional and give them time to

respond or redo.

4. Stick to the script questions and never

dig deeper than that.

5. Remind them to not name names

unless honoring someone.

6. Remind them to have fun and that if

they want to delete the video after

seeing it they can

7. Do not ask additional or embarrassing

questions.

8. No one is required to be interviewed.

They can hold the camera or ask the

questions.

Lighting

1. If the sun is to your back their eyes will not open. Try from an angle

2. 12-noon sun gives raccoon eyes and hay low heads

3. This was shot in the shade? light bounce

4. Digital cameras are sensitive to light, you do not need much

Sound

1. Sound was the number one reason that spoiled our videos.

2. Avoid any background noise, markets, cars voices etc.

3. Remember your camera has a tiny microphone, so stand close.

Always run a test..
