The social media organiser that allows users to download their own copy of the content stored on their social network profiles, and to

reuse that data in a number of different ways.

Discover How You Can Take Control Of Your Data...

Adding Accounts and Backing Up Content

The first action a user takes with SocialSafe is to log on to their social networks to allow the application to access their information via the network APIs and privately and securely bring it down to their device:

Your Backed Up Network Accounts

The SocialSafe application will then on a regular schedule (default weekly, but user can change to daily/hourly) retrieve all the data for a user for their selected social accounts. Up to twenty different accounts can currently be synced to the journal, and it is possible to sync more than one account from the same network:

Browsing Your Library From Accounts View

As can be seen from this example, the data retrieved from Twitter is comprehensive. In this case, the data stored within the SocialSafe library includes all Tweets, Mentions, Direct Messages, Favourites, and details of Followers and Followings. One of the aims of SocialSafe is to allow the user to do more with their data then they can do by having the data distributed and outside their control. Here you can see a first example where SocialSafe is identifying lost followers:

View Your Data By Content Type

Once you have content backed up to your SocialSafe library, you can access and browse it in a number of ways. One such way is to view items by content type, and filter it. Here we can view all of the Tweets from one of the backed up Twitter accounts:

Journal View

A popular way to navigate through the library is to look by date. The Journal allows you to view all of your backed up content within a diary format. You can also choose which networks you’d like to see displayed in the Journal whenever you view it:

Create Your Own Date Ranges

You can also use the Journal to set a date range to view content within (either from one of the present ranges, or by selecting your own timeframe):

Search Within Your Selected Date Ranges...

You can also search within the Journal. The ‘Search.. on this page’ option searches your selected date range (and selected networks) for a certain word or phrase, and this will show you any items related to your search term. This will include instances where the original post may not contain the search term/name, but the comments/tags/likes associated with that post do. The ‘Search... everywhere’ looks through the entirity of your SocialSafe library.Searching ‘on this page’:

... or Across Your Entire Library

When searching everywhere you are shown summaries of how many items have been found within each network account, and how many items of each type are included in the search results:

Select Items To Add To Collections

From your search results (and almost anywhere else in the app) you can select items to add to a new or existing collection:

Create Multiple Collections

Collections can contain content from any of the networks you have backed up within your SocialSafe library, allow you to continually aggregate content along a particular theme as time goes by. One item can appear in multiple Collections, and you can create as many Collections as you like:

Export Content From Your Collections To PDF

You can also create PDFs of your content from almost anywhere within SocialSafe. Creating PDFs from Collections is a great way of exporting information and content that may have been created on different networks, but is related by a certain theme:

SocialSafe’s PDF Output

Your PDFs will contain a summary showing you how many items from each network have been included. All of the comments and likes arealso included in the PDF:

Search By Network & Content Type

Another way to find any item(s) from across all of you different social networks backed up within SocialSafe is to use the powerful Search function. From the Journal, you can search across all of your content:

Advanced Search Options

However, if you wanted to be more specific, you can use the ‘Advanced Search’ to only search certain types of content, or within certain networks. In this example we will run our ‘new york’ search term but across the contacts:

Precise Search Results

Your search results will be grouped by network account:

All Of Your Photos From All Of Your Networks

The Photos view displays all of the photos from your backed up network accounts, retaining albums where applicable:

Addtional Content Such As Comments, Tags & Likes

All of the comments, tags and likes are also backed up, and can be viewed with the photos:

Insights Into Your Popular Photos...

The Insights part of SocialSafe allows you to see the most popular moments from your whole life on social networks. By using one of the preset date ranges or choosing your own, you can see the photos that had the most engagement (comments and likes), and the people you interact with the most. You can also choose which networks to apply Insights to:

...and Your Most Popular Posts

As well as you most popular photos and the people you interact with the most, Insights shows you the posts that gained the most engagement (again, indicated by the number of comments and likes) for your given time period:

Export Data In Raw Formats

Your data is also available for export in a raw CSV (or JPEG in the case of photos) format, so once you have your content backed up you can repurpose it however you want. For example, you can export you Twitter followers and then use Excel (or other) to rank them by how many followers they have:

Multi-Lingual Support

Finally, SocialSafe can be used in a variety of languages, with more being continually added:
