Acoustic Multi Mission Sensor The ground based AMMS utilizes the worldwide unique Acoustic Vector Sensor technology allowing it to detect, classify and localise the full spectrum of acoustic battlefield signatures such as mortars, RPGs and small arms fire.

The powerful signal processor embedded in AMMS is capable of analysing and localizing the acoustic signatures and reports to the Battlefield Management System (BMS). The ground sensor‘s Digital Data Port interfaces with the customer specific hardware and BMS, supporting a variety of digital standards including the DAMA protocol. It also enables the user to make use of a Digital Data Port Adapter (DDPA) such as a digital antenna. The dedicated Sensor Management System (SMS) allows the full utilisation of a multi AMMS network.

The low weight and ruggedized housing allows quick

and easy deployment of a single ground sensor to

support forward observers, or multiple sensors

networked to protect critical infrastructure,

embassies, forward operating bases or combat

outposts. The ground sensor network can also be

operated in a RAM-LOC configuration for theatre or

borderline use and can be utilized to cue cameras.

AMMS units can be operated from -20°C up to 70°C,

in severe weather conditions with wind speeds up to

6BFT. The AMMS consumes less than 2 Watts and can

be battery (e.g. 2xAA) or mains powered. For safety

purposes against potential IEDs the unattended

ground sensor is equipped with an anti-tampering

feature, reporting any abnormal activity to the BMS.

· A ruggedized low power transmitter and antenna that transmits the digital reports from the ground sensor on the 868 MHz G3 band for Europe (other bands are available on request)

· A ruggedized low power data repeater that receives and retransmits the digital reports on 868 MHz G3 band for Europe (other bands are available on request)

· Wind screens in different camouflage designs · An orientation tool to measure the

orientation of the sensor on soil, sand, concrete and rock

The AMMS comes with several optional accessories for mission use:
