Berkeley, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Windows HPC Server 2008 can efficiently scale to thousands of processing cores and provides a comprehensive set of deployment, administration, and monitoring tools. Recent test data:
1184 node cluster deployed in 4 hours (from bare metal)
35 seconds to allocate resources on 9472 cores vs. >5 minutes to start a job on Linux on 2000 cores
Message Passing Interface (MPI) over the new Network Direct technology achieved 77.7% vs. 70% on Linux
831,816 unique process pairs were created, 921 million messages and 53 TB of data exchanged without a single failure!
