Subscribers to this service can access our calendar to review avails. Tentative or unconfirmed holds are identified as GH designations and confirmed or contracted are designated as GC.
RENTAL APPLICATIONS
AmericanAirlines Arena, may at its sole discretion, require that prospective Licensees complete a Rental Application to determine certain legal, business and financial information about the prospective Licensee.
RENTAL EXPENSE
Rental structure is based on established rental rates, applicable taxes and determined by the type of event and space used. All reimbursable expenses are based on the use of labor and equipment used for your event. The reimbursable expenses are in addition to the base rental rate.
CONTRACT EXECUTION
Upon establishment of the basic deal points and business terms, AmericanAirlines Arena will prepare a contract for the Licensee’s execution. Unless otherwise agreed to in a term sheet or letter of intent signed by
AmericanAirlines Arena, all arrangements are considered to be tentative until a contract has been fully executed and delivered by both parties.
If deemed appropriate by AmericanAirlines Arena, the Licensee may be required to provide a rental deposit
along with the execution of the License Agreement. At the sole discretion of AmericanAirlines Arena, if ticket sale proceeds do not appear to be sufficient to cover the facilities expenses, the Licensee may be required to make additional deposits. If such deposits are not made within a designated timeframe, the event may be cancelled, resulting in the Licensee’s deposit being forfeited.
INSURANCE AND INDEMNIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
AmericanAirlines Arena requires that all Licensees secure various insurances prior to the commencement of the License period and keep in force during the term of the License. Policy requirements include, but are not limited to, comprehensive general liability insurance, comprehensive automotive bodily injury and property damage policy, workers compensation policy and an umbrella policy over the coverage stated in the above policies. Policies will be required to list various parties as named insureds and/or additional named insureds. The license agreement will state the specific terms for each of the policies. In the event that the Licensee is unable to provide the coverage through their own insurance sources,
AmericanAirlines Arena may, through their insurance broker, obtain an event specific TULIP insurance program at the expense of the Licensee.
Each Licensee will be required to provide an indemnification in favor of AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami-Dade County and other parties as listed in the License Agreement. Please refer to the License Agreement for specific terms and language.
SETTLEMENT
At or the conclusion of the event, the Licensee will be responsible for settling all outstanding facility expenses, and

SEATING INFORMATION
AmericanAirlines Arena is designed on the premise of “basketball first” sightlines. Several benefits are derived from this design criteria:
Improved end-zone sightlines
Horizontal distance to end-zone seating is approximately 30 ft closer to event floor [relative to standard “multi-use arenas”] providing a more intimate feel to the bowl.
Smaller building volume translating into improved building acoustics.
VARIABLE RISE SEATING SYSTEM
To facilitate concerts, hockey or ice related events AmericanAirlines Arena is equipped with a custom manufactured variable rise seating system designed to maximize flexibility and optimize sightlines for your event. Using hydraulic technology end court and side court seating systems easily convert from basketball to hockey rakes so as to optimize sightlines. By removing the inboard seating system behind the stage several different options are available for stage access including upstage right, upstage left, upstage center as well as elephant door access upstage far right. This flexibility provides for quick and easy load-in and load-out maneuverability. Additionally, the seating system provides for increased flexibility at the mix platform location so as to minimize production kills typically associated with sound, video and camera platforms.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING PLATFORMS
AmericanAirlines Arena complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA] 1990. Included in our seating inventory is a better than 1% wheelchair accessible and 1% companion seating within the bowl. Contained within the lower bowl are four (4) fixed platforms and nine (9) convertible platforms which can be easily transformed into conventional area seating so as to maximize the seat count for your event.

AmericanAirlines Arena can offer a myriad of seating configurations to best facilitate your event thereby maximizing seat count and revenues. The following is a list of our standard configurations and associated seat counts.

NOTES:
1. H/V is the slope of the rigging bridle with respect to the rigging beam centerline. H is the horizontal distance from the beam centerline to the suspended load and V is the vertical drop to the suspended load from the beam centerline.
2. T max is the TOTAL maximum applied tension force in the rigging bridle for the given bridle slope. V max is the vertical component of T max. H max is the horizontal component of T max.
3. The MAXIMUM SINGLE CONCENTRATED RIGGING LOAD on the rigging beams including
the reaction induced from the supported rigging beams shall NOT exceed 5,000 lbs. (with the exception of 10,000 lbs for reactions induced from the rigging beams on W 24 x 55) or the
MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE LOAD indicated in the table above. The distance between any two
adjacent rigging loads on a rigging beam shall be at least 5 FEET
4. For rigging beams which carry multiple rigging loads, the following equation shall be satisfied;
fH fV
--------- < 1 & --------- < 1.0
Hmax Vmax
where fH is the applied horizontal load to the rigging beam, fV is the applied vertical load to the
rigging beam and Hmax and Vmax are obtained from appropriate columns in the rigging beam schedule. The loads shall include the rigging load induced reaction of all the rigging beams framing into the beam in consideration.

APPENDIX III.2 Rigging Guidelines – Center Stage Configuration
1. The overall rigging load for an end stage configuration shall not exceed 105,000 lbs.
2. The maximum total load distributed to each truss shall be limited as follows;
TRUSS MARK MAXIMUM LOAD
TRUSS A 40,000 lbs.
TRUSS B 45,000 lbs.
3. The symbol ------------0---------- indicates the intersection of rigging beams with the roof trusses,
shown on RC-1. The TOTAL VERTICAL LOAD at these points shall not exceed 20,000 lbs.
TOTAL VERTICAL LOAD refers to the sum of all rigging loads supported directly at the intersection location being considered. This is to include the rigging load induced reaction of all rigging beams framing to this location in addition to any rigging loads directly supported at the same intersection location.
4. Rigging bridals may be attached to the existing rigging beams that are painted and marked as indicated on the rigging schedule or to the truss chords at points marked thus ---------0-------- as
indicated on drawing RC-1. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES shall rigging be suspended from any
members painted BLACK or indicated by DASHED LINES on drawing RC-1 WITHOUT
WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THORTON-TOMASETTI ENGINEERS.
5. Rigging loads can be assumed to act directly at the intersection point, described above, if the load
is applied within SIX INCHES of the truss flange. All other loads shall be considered to be acting on the rigging beam itself.
6. The maximum allowable loads on individual rigging beams shall be determined from the
RIGGING BEAM SCHEDULE. The values given in the rigging beam schedule are for loads applied more than six inches from the end of the rigging beam under consideration. Loads applied less than six inches from the member may be considered to act directly at the intersection point.
7. The top flange of any beam can support rigging is painted red, blue or gold and is marked thus
(▲,♦ ,* or ● ) on the RC-1 drawing.
