AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS HOLDS ITS 2015 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

INTRODUCTION Since 2007, experienced pediatrician Dr. Jay Schwartz

has treated young patients as the owner of Collin County Pediatrics in Frisco, Texas. An involved medical professional, Dr. Jay Schwartz maintains membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics, which oversees various programs and activities to promote the health and well-being of all children.

Pediatricians from across the United States gathered recently at the American Academy of Pediatrics’ 2015 National Conference & Exhibition, which took place October 24-27, 2015, in Washington, DC.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS The four-day event featured an engaging education program

that included sessions on a range of topics, such as food allergies, infectious diseases, sports injuries, and nutrition.

In addition to educational activities, attendees had the opportunity to take part in advocacy and networking events and to hear from prominent speakers, such as political pundit Cokie Roberts, who delivered the conference’s keynote address on children’s issues currently facing U.S. lawmakers. With the 2015 National Conference behind them, Academy members are already looking ahead to next year’s event, which will be held October 22-25, 2016, in San Francisco.
