1) About the AMCAT

AMCAT: Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test is a multi-dimensional assessment and feedback platform with dynamicand personalized content providing accurate assessment foremployability in various industry sectors and job profiles. The Aptitude Module & Personality Module (AMPI) iscompulsory for all students of all streams. The Skill Module isoptional. We encourage students to appear for maximumnumber of modules as it helps their skills to be more visiblebefore organizations.

Since AMCAT tests the aptitude of a student, the curriculum of only the Quantitative section varies for Technical(B.Tech/M.Tech) & a non Technical student.

 The consideration set for students with respect to jobs isseparate That is, a B.Tech is compared with a B.Tech & an MBA iscompared with an MBA only.

2) AMCAT Seven-Stroke Feedback 

AMCAT is a unique placement test, on the basis of which, a

detailed feedback and graphical guidance report is shared withthe student. No other company gives feedback or reveals scoreson the test which it uses for the process of recruitment. Usingthe AMCAT Seven-Stroke feedback Report, the candidate gets toknow why a particular company is shortlisting him and why acompany from another sector is not. B. Process - AMCAT at your Institute

1. Aspiring Minds shall conduct AMCAT: Aspiring Minds ComputerAdaptive Test. Students assessed through AMCAT shall get \

a. A student wise customized Detailed Feedback Report ontheir respective strengths and weaknesses. (HardCopies/Soft Copies)

b. Shortlistings and interviews by companies that use AMCATscores for hiring.

2. AMCAT Assessment will be conducted for all  students of allbranches of study.

3. Aspiring Minds will not charge any amount from students or thecampus for any interview call.

4. There is no eligibility criterion for a student to appear forAMCAT.

5. ASPIRING MINDS will work towards bridging the gap between IndiaInc. & fresh Indian talent by providing a NEUTRAL & PROFESSIONALPLATFORM to both the corporate & the institutes (fresh candidates).

C. Shortlisting Process - How companies useAMCAT to hire?

a. Companies accept AMCAT as the standard to filter and shortlistcandidates for interviewing and hiring.

b. Companies use Aspiring Minds online portal to shortlist students

according to their AMCAT scores. Based on the candidates shortlisted, they either visit the campus or call students to acentralised location to interview them.

c. Based on the AMCAT scores of the whole batch, company choosecampuses to visit and conduct direct-interviewing there.

d. Companies visiting your campus use AMCAT assessment toshortlist and not do their own testing. They just conductinterviews saving them time.

A good AMCAT score on the resume can help candidates getshort listed when they apply to companies during joint-campus

drives, off-campus drives and job fairs, but that does not restrict astudent from being shortlisted for interview. Every student iscapable of being shortlisted depending on the company profilerequirements & number of openings.

F. Responsibility of the institute•

Test date and Lab: The institute fixes a date when interested students can take the test. We willneed the Computer Lab of the institute for the same on the day of the test. The

computers should be on a LAN and run Windows 2000/Xp.

G. Financials

1. The fee for AMCAT Assessment is Rs.599 * per student assessment.

2. The institute shall not be charged any other fee apart from the onetimeAMCAT fee of Rs.599 per student. Hence all transportation cost – Aspiring

Minds Testing Team, event management cost or any other operational costwill not be levied to the Institute.

3. The Score and Presence in AMCAT Pool will be for 3 YEARS and student shall

not be charged any other fee apart from onetime AMCAT fee, i.e. Rs.599

4. Feedback Reports/ Diagnostic Reports / Personality Reports and CampusPerformance Report will be sent via Hard Copies to every Student and theinstitute / Student shall not be charged any amount for this.
