Dance and Film
Before Amb:IT:ion
• National Computing Centre. In 2004/5 The NCC initiated the ‘Our Video’ project to help support community groups using multimedia and the internet. The project has produced the ‘Our Video Toolkit’ which aims to support groups in creating, producing and distributing their own video work.
• NAGTYIn 2006 we ran a 2 week Dance & Film summer course at Lancaster University for 14-16 years for Gifted and Talented Dancers. The course consisted of dance, storyboarding, camera and editing techniques.

Training
• With this investment in equipment we have run internal training.
• Company away day with training in how to use camera and editing software.
• Stage Manager & Head of ICT and Marketing have advanced editing training.

The future?
• Encouraging audiences to create content and talk about existing content.
• Developing our web site to accommodate these rich resources.
• Developing all of our social network channels - and posting videos and resources to multiple sites using services such as www.tubemogul.com.
• Analysing and reviewing the work we’ve done through Amb:IT:ion.
• Developing a separate digital marketing strategy.
Issues
• Copyright and royalties especially in relation to music for online videos.
• Administration involved in ensuring correct consent and release forms.
• Knowledge transfer - with staff turnover - we need to ensure filming and editing skills are being passed on.
• Embedding these skills into existing Job descriptions and schedules.
• How to further engage our audiences and customers.
