  The oldest known art in Brazil is the cave paintings in Serre da Capivara National Park

  One of the most sophisticated kinds of Pre-Columbian artifact found in Brazil is the sophisticated Marajoara pottery (c. 800–1400 AD), which comes from cultures flourishing on Marajo Island and around the region of Santarem, decorated with painting and complex human and animal reliefs.

• Education in Brazil is regulated by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education defines the guiding principles for the organization of educational programs. Local governments are responsible for establishing state and educational programs following the guidelines and using the funding supplied by the Federal Government. Children in Brazil must attend school a minimum of 9 years, however the schooling is usually inadequate.

It is important to have knowledge and understanding about individual rights and responsibilities, as well as those of citizens, the State and other community groups;respecting man's dignity and fundamental freedoms;strengthening national unity and international solidarity;integral development of the human personality and his/her participation in the work towards common welfare;preparing individuals and society to master scientific and technological resources which will allow the use existing possibilities to common welfare;protecting, disseminating and expanding cultural heritage;condemning any unequal treatment resulting from philosophical, political or religious belief, as well as any social classes or racial prejudices."

  In Brazil, people have many surroundings, which provides them with many things to keep them entertained, and many things to pass time. In Brazil people will do things such as go to beaches on the coast, travel to the mountains and ride bicycles.

  Brazilians love to go to parties, so that is another way they have fun. The carnival in Rio de Janeiro is very popular in Brazil.

  Like here in the US, we have a Dallas Cowboys stadium, in Brazil they also have a stadium where many things are performed there. Mostly football games, and other athletic games. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 45,000 people, but it can be amplied to 60,000. The stadium is owned by the City of Rio de Janeiro, but it is rented to Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas for 20 years. It is named after João Havelange, who was president of FIFA from 1974 to 1998.

  Brazil is a large country that is made up of many different cultures. Every region has a different food specialty. The Portuguese arrived in Brazil in 1500 and brought their tastes and styles of cooking with them. They brought sugar, citrus fruits, and many sweets that are still used for desserts and holidays.

  Brazilians use many eggs, fruits, spices (such as cinnamon and cloves), and sugar to make sweet treats, such as ambrosia

  Breakfast in Brazil consists of:

- Coffee, milk, bread and jam, sometimes cheese and ham, with fresh fruit also. There may be mangoes, papayas, watermelons and avocado cream in addition to all those.

  Brazil, Lunch & Dinner

- Meals are not just a time to eat, but also to share jovial moments with family friends and associates. The "family" meals are something one should opt for. Either for lunch or dinner, Brazil abounds in wonderful, inexpensive restaurants where home meals are dispatched on order in terms of weight of the food. Drinks and desserts are also available in most Brazilian Rest aunts. Dinner is generally served at a delayed time than in the U.S. Many Brazilian may prefer a lighter meal of coffee bread, cheese and cold cuts in dinner .
