Amazon rainforest
• The Amazon rainforest is in south America.
• It covers 5,500,000 kilometers out of 7,000,000 kilometers of land.
• The 5,500,000 Km belongs to nine different regions.
Deforestation
• When parts of the Amazon are lost that land can never be remade to its full potential no trees can be re-grown again.
Deforestation damages
With in 1991-2000 the amazon rainforest had lost a total of 415,000-587,000 km of land, just so more houses can be made for people to live/survive in.
Human Impact
• Do to the human impact on the Amazon we have lost 54 billion tons of carbon from one rainforest. (Amazon)
• With less carbon in the air it doesn’t help prevent global warming and it ruins the environmental impact of the Amazon.
Reasons for deforestation
• deforestation could happen for many reason but the main reason are Commodity, Pasture, Plantations of commodities, Human settlement.
Why trees matter
• Rainforests are the main resting place for 50%-90% of all organisms.
• Most animals need the richness of the rainforest to survive.
• A quarter of are worlds medication comes from trees. The roots of the trees help prevent natural disasters like flooding and landsides.
Prevention
• All though in rainforests planting trees after cutting them down doesn’t help the land but in other areas one tree can help a lot.
• After a large or small amount of trees are cut down plant one in return.
