The new GS F sports saloon delivers a

breathtaking driving experience. At the heart

of its performance is a hand-built, 5.0-litre

V8 petrol engine that produces 477 DIN

hp. Power is pushed to the rear wheels via

an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift automatic

transmission and a precision-engineered

Torque Vectoring Differential.

The GS F’s performance and handling

were honed to perfection on Germany’s

world famous Nürburgring circuit. The

cabin provides a driver-focused cockpit

The new GS F matches its thoroughbred

performance with muscular yet refined

styling. Design focal points are led by a new

interpretation of the signature spindle grille,

rendered wider, framed in dark chrome and

with an F-motif mesh pattern.

Slim headlight units with LEDs arranged in a

triple-L formation add to the visual drama, with

deep side air intakes conveying the model’s

special character when viewed in profile.

The slim, sharp spokes of the 19-inch forged

alloy wheels allow a glimpse of the Brembo

performance braking system and its standout

orange callipers. To the rear a carbon fibre

spoiler and quadruple exhausts signal the

high performance and attention to detail that

V8 PERFORMANCEThe GS F V8 has been engineered to

deliver the high level of performance that is

synonymous with our thoroughbred F-models.

It has been tested to the limit, both in the

laboratory and on the track, including the

extreme demands of a 24-hour race on the

legendary Nürburgring. This is a naturally

aspirated engine, so there is no turbocharger

to delay the superb response the moment

you press the accelerator. 0 to 62mph can be

achieved in just 4.6 seconds. The exceptional

performance is matched by the acoustic

experience, with Active Sound Control

blending the engine and exhaust notes to give

precise and agile handling by developing an

extremely rigid chassis, using advanced welding

and adhesive technologies. The car’s world-

INFORMED AND IN CONTROLInstrumentation and displays have been

designed to communicate essential

information and data clearly, so you can

distraction. An extra wide head-up display

uses coloured graphics to project important

RACE TUNED LUXURYThe F models are designed and engineered

to exceptional performance criteria. More

than just providing an exhilarating driving

experience, they maintain the highest

standards of quality, craftsmanship and

comfort. The result is a unique, race-tuned

luxury. The GS F is the latest iteration of an

F bloodline that includes the LFA V10

supercar and the RC F coupe and its

authenticity has been built-in through a

rigorous development programme. This

included testing the car to the limit in the

gruelling Nürburgring 24-hour race before it

was deemed ready for the road.

The same engineering team that created the

legendary LFA were responsible for giving

the GS F its all-round abilities in terms of

speed, handling and grip, working at the Lexus

technical centre at the Fuji Speedway in Japan.

The GS F delivers breathtaking acceleration,

precision handling and exhilarating high-

speed driving. An exceptionally rigid chassis,

a potent, naturally aspirated V8 engine and

the harnessing of advanced vehicle dynamic

controls combine in the GS F to open up a

whole new level of driving excitement that you

In a world of computerised design and

robotised manufacturing, there is still nothing

to rival the human hand and eye when it

comes to delivering the finest quality. That’s

why the Lexus Takumi craftspeople play

such an important part in overseeing the

production of every car.

The special skills of the Takumi can be seen in

details such as the precision-machined audio

controls, the hand-stitched leather work and

the deep lustre and unblemished paintwork,

achieved through wetsanding by hand of

each foundation coat. Before the final test

drive, each car is brought into a “quiet room”

where the expert ears of the Takumi can

detect the slightest flaw in the smooth running

of the engine.

Drive Mode Select You can fine tune the GS F’s performance at the touch of a dial using the Drive Mode Select.

ECO mode maximises fuel and emissions efficiency in everyday driving; NORMAL gives you a perfect balance of power,

economy and ride comfort; and SPORT S and SPORT S+ put the focus on performance, maximising throttle and (with

Sport S+) steering responsiveness.

sound engineering creates a deeply

resonant tone, and a higher-pitched

roar as revolutions rise above 6000

rpm under hard acceleration.

Sports Direct Shift transmission

The muscular power of the GS F’s engine

is transmitted to the rear wheels via an

eight-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission.

Its ratios are calculated to provide excellent

response, with paddle shifts giving you the option of

manual operation when you want to maximise your

involvement. Downshifts can be accomplished in just

0.2 seconds, accompanied by blipping of the throttle to

sustain engine revs.

Torque Vectoring Differential The GS F’s Torque

Vectoring Differential adds another dimension to driving

enjoyment. It can be operated in three modes to suit your

preference – STANDARD, for a balance of agile performance and

handling stability; SLALOM, which emphasises nimble response

to steering inputs; and TRACK, designed for consistent, secure

cornering behaviour, ideal for circuit driving.

LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM +

Every new GS F is equipped with Lexus Safety System +, the new safety and driver assistance features that work together to deliver exceptional

help to prevent accidents happening.

Adaptive Cruise Control Controlled by a radar system mounted on the front of the car Adaptive Cruise Control will keep you a safe distance

from the vehicle ahead, smoothly returning the GS F to your selected cruising speed once the road is clear.

Lane Departure Alert/Lane Keep Assist A camera at the front of the GS F monitors lane markings on the road surface. If you begin

to drift out of lane, the system will sound a warning and briefly weight the steering to help you return the GS F to its correct course.

Adaptive High-beam System The system detects the lights of oncoming vehicles and traffic ahead and automatically adjusts the light

distribution of the LED headlights to avoid dazzling other road users, maximising illumination when driving at night.

Pre-Crash Safety The system constantly monitors the road ahead and calculates the risk of a collision. If it determines an impact is likely, it

triggers audible and visual warnings and prepares the brakes to deliver emergency stopping power. If the driver takes no action and an impact is

unavoidable, it will automatically apply appropriate braking and tighten the front seatbelts. The Pre-Crash Safety system is also able to pinpoint

pedestrians and other hazards in the GS F’s path and will activate automatic braking to prevent a collision, operating across a wide range of vehicle

speeds.

Traffic Sign Recognition Uses the front camera to recognise important command and restriction signs on motorways and major roads.

It replicates the information on the multi-information display, reducing the risk of the driver failing to notice them.

All active safety technologies are intended to be backup systems only and are not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. The functionality of these systems may be impacted by driving and in-car conditions. Further information is available from your local Lexus Centre.

Built-in strength The GS F has an exceptionally strong and rigid body engineered to absorb, disperse and channel impact forces away

from the cabin in the event of an accident. A collapsible steering column, structural reinforcements in key areas, side impact beams and seats

designed to protect against whiplash injury all help keep you and your passengers safe.

Sway Warning Function This monitors the car’s position in its lane and the driver’s steering inputs. If it detects degrees of vehicle swaying,

caused by driver distraction or drowsiness, it will sound an alert and display a warning on the multi-information display, recommending the

driver takes a break.

Ten airbags Driver and occupants are protected by an array of 10 SRS airbags, should an impact occur. They include driver and front passenger

front and knee airbags, front and outer rear seat side airbags and full-length curtain shield airbags. The level of protection is further enhanced by the

GS F’s exceptionally strong bodyshell, designed to absorb impact forces and channel them away from the cabin.

Blind Spot Monitor A rear-mounted radar detects vehicles in adjacent lanes travelling in the driver’s blind spot and warns of their presence with

a warning light in the door mirror on the appropriate side of the car. Should you indicate to change lane, the light will flash to emphasise the warning.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert The same radar used for the Blind Spot Monitor also provides a Rear Cross Traffic Alert, warning you of vehicles

approaching from either side when reversing out of a parking space by sounding a buzzer and activating the lights in the door mirrors.

All-LED Headlights The headlights use

LED technology for both high and low-beam,

arranged in a sophisticated and distinctive

triple-L design. They are underscored by

LED daytime running lights to create a

unique illumination signature.

for excellent clarity, housed in

intriguingly elegant L-shaped

units that blend perfectly

with the GS F’s athletic

lines. The addition of

small aerodynamic fins

contributes to the

car’s stability and

wind-cheating

performance.

Forged alloy wheels True to its F-marque pedigree, the GS F is fitted with strong but lightweight

19-inch forged alloy wheels. Their layered multi-spoke design reveals the bright orange callipers of

the Brembo performance braking system. To secure optimum performance, different tyre sizes are

specified – 255/35ZR19 at the front and 275/35ZR19 at the rear.

F aerodynamics The GS F is styled to cut cleanly through the air while generating the downforce

required to ensure stability at high speed. Special features that bear witness to its F-marque

performance include vents integrated into the front wings to feed cooling air into the engine

compartment and a beautifully laminated carbon fibre rear spoiler.

Quadruple Exhausts Diagonally arranged quadruple exhausts give the GS F a distinctive F

marque look. To enhance the quality of the engine sound heard inside and outside the cabin,

a high-function baffle integrating glass wool and stainless steel wool has been used on the

exhausts.

Sports steering wheel The

GS F’s three-spoke steering wheel

is designed for optimum grip and

control in performance driving, with

a thick cross-section to the rim and

perforated leather cover. Paddle shifts for

manual selection of the eight-speed Sports

Direct Shift transmission have been optimally

positioned for fast and accurate operation.

Dual-zone climate control The dual-zone

climate control uses a highly efficient S-FLOW

air condition system that focuses operation in the

front of the cabin when it detects the rear seats are

unoccupied. It can automatically co-ordinate seat

heating and ventilation functions to help achieve the

desired cabin temperature quickly and efficiently.

A precision filter ensures pollen, dust and exhaust

gases are removed.

Sports seats The high-backed sports seats are

upholstered in fine quality semi-aniline leather,

using an integrated foaming technique which

gives a snug, highly supportive fit – derived from

motorsport technology, it gives greater comfort

and lateral support than can be achieved

with conventional seat upholstery methods.

Both front seats are power-adjustable with

integrated heaters, cool air ventilation and

complete with an embossed F.

12.3-inch multi-media display The large 12.3-inch display screen provides impressive presentation of multiple data and control functions, with clear, bright graphics. Lexus Premium Navigation The superb quality of the Lexus Premium Navigation system includes multiple mapping and route planning options, with voice command or Remote Touch operation. You can even transfer route data to your smartphone to complete the last steps of your journey on foot.

Colour Head-Up Display The extra-wide Head-Up Display projects important vehicle data and information onto the base of the windscreen. The largest on the market, it uses colour graphics for clear and instant communication.

Premium audio system The 12-speaker

premium audio system features a DAB digital

tuner and single CD and DVD playback.

It provides excellent sound reproduction and can

Mark Levinson Premium Surround System

The 17-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround System

is tailored to the acoustic properties of the cabin with its

speaker technology. The system includes DAB digital reception

Parking Assist Monitor When you engage reverse gear, a real

time image of the area immediately behind the vehicle is presented

on the 12.3-inch multi-media screen. Guidelines overlaying the image

indicate the path of the vehicle, in line with steering, to help you move

accurately and safely into parking spaces. Front and rear parking sensors

provide an additional level of assistance, with both a display and warning

buzzer to indicate your proximity to other vehicles or obstacles.
