CONTEMPORARY FLORAL DESIGNOver the past eight years the Contemporary Floral Design Competition has become an established part of

the show.

The competition has succeeded in attracting new designers to Southport and encouraged some of our regular floral exhibitors to take a walk on the wild side!

With exhibition classes and innovative staging, designed to stretch your imagination and skill the standard of entries into the competition has been truly inspirational and a delight for visitors.

The competition is open to everyone and specifically aimed at encouraging freedom of expression, thinking outside the box and pushing the boundaries of floral contemporary design.

GENERAL CONDITIONSPlant material used in the classes need not have been grown by the exhibitor but must have been arranged

and staged by them in the Contemporary Floral Design marquee.

Items requiring special time or expertise may be brought assembled for incorporation in any class.

Space allowed is stated for each individual class and exhibitors are encouraged to keep their designs within the given measurements.

Marquee sides are draped with black fabric.
