1. The Applicant is a Foreign National (i.e. a Portuguese National)

and is the unmarried son of Mrs. Socorrina Joana Fernandes e

Gomes and late Antonio Aureliano do Carmo Gomes. The

Applicant’s birth is registered in Margao, Goa. The Applicant is

the holder of a Portuguese Passport issued by the concerned

authorities in ……….and the same bears No. ……….., issued

on ……………. valid until ………… and is presently residing

at H. No. 418, Nacorda, Devote, Loutolim, Salcete-Goa

2. The Applicant is engaged to marry Miss. Amanda Miranda,

aged ……… years, daughter of Mr. Constancio Miranda and

Mrs. Perpetua Socorrina Rodrigues e Miranda, who is an Indian

National, residing H. No. 157, Chinchmorod, Vanelim, Colva,

Salcete-Goa

3. The Applicant and his fiancee are both major in age and are

bachelor and spinster respectively and are unmarried and have

never been married before.

4. The Applicant and his fiancée are known to one another and

have decided to celebrate their marriage in Goa, India. The

Applicant and his fiancée are presently residing in Goa at the

above address.

5. As per the prevailing law in force sanctioned is required from

this Hon’ble Court to register their marriage before the Civil

Registrar at Margao, Salcete, Goa.

6. That the Laws of the Portugal are in conformity with the laws

of this land and further there is no impediment whatsoever

according to the Laws of Portugal for the Applicant to get

marry in Goa, India.

7. The Applicant produces the following documents:

a) Notarized copy of Passport of the Applicant;

b) Original copy of Birth Certificate of the

Applicant;

c) Affidavits relating to the status of the Applicant

and his fiancee with respect to marriage;

d) Notarized copy of the Residential Certificate of

the Fiancee;

e) original copy of Certificate of Birth of the bride.

8. The Applicant therefore prays:

That this Hon’ble Court be pleased to grant necessary

permission and issue necessary certificate and/or orders to

the Civil Registrar of Salcete at Margao, to

register/celebrate the marriage of the applicant with his

fiancee Miss. Amanda Miranda.
