ELECTIVE | The Isle of Capri. Travel by hydrofoil to the enchanting Isle of Capri, a celebrated resort. Sail along the Capri coast,passing hidden swimming coves, caves andgrottos. Walk along Capri’s scenic lanes andvisit the Augustus Gardens, incredible terracedgardens with bougainvillea vines, marbledstatues and charming lily ponds.

Day 7 | Herculaneum and Pompeii

Discovery: Unearthing Herculaneumand Pompeii. Uncover the superlative power of Mount Vesuvius while exploring Herculaneum and Pompeii, villages that weredestroyed in the violent eruption of A.D. 79. The small seaside town of Herculaneum was preserved by mudflows while Pompeii, thelarger of the two cities, was covered by ash.The resulting preservation of these two cities is unlike anything else in the world. at the grid-like streets, bordered with bars,shops and public baths, and see everythingfrom mosaics to furniture to frescoes in theForum. You will encounter a history lesson like no other today!
