FIRST STORE

Before I entered the store I felt welcomed, the sign with round letters made me feel comfortable.

Enviroment

The colors of the store are between black, white and a little brown.

The floor and ceiling totally match the enviroment of the store, showing desing.

The music is relaxing and not loud.

There is a good smell and the weather is cold.

All those elements are thought to influence the costumer to buy.

Personnel and costumers

The employees were 2 and both were women in the late 20s, one of them immediately asked me if there were anything she could help me with.

The sales women dressed with clothes from the store.

As there was nobody else at the store I couldn’t see if they treated everyone equally but it seemed like they did.

Products

The products don’t have a logical order, which reflects the essence of the store.

The least accessible products were the blue jeans.

The first product I noticed was a pair of brown shoes.

SECOND STORE

Capital letters Not so big Elegant

The most important detail is the big opened door that welcomes everyone from the outside

Enviroment

•Zara’s eviroment is really elegant, with colors in the escale of white and cream (the floor and ceiling are beige, the ceiling has a lot of lights) •The music is calm •The weather cold •The store is really big. I didn’t felt so welcomed

Personnel and costumers

The store security is really visible

There were plenty of employees, men and women between 20 and 35 years, and yet nobody talked to me.

The personnel dressed alike, but it wasn’t the same as an uniform.

I only saw 3 costumers where I walked, the three of them were women and 2 of them were together, they were friends, they had already chosen what they wanted to buy, the other one was still looking.

Products

Products in this store are arranged by potential customers, I mean, there is a space for teen’s clothing, another one for women, men, children and so on.

There is a central display for each space.

The first product I noticed was a sweater in the teen’s part.

There are Impulsive items near the cash in this store such as sun glasses and necklaces.

PROBLEM!! Even though

there were plenty of

employees and few customers, none of them talked to the clients when they entered

the store

SOLUTION!! Train them to help he clients and satisfy their

needs

THIRD STORE

I wanted to come to Nine West because I was told that the store was on sale, but before I entered the store I didn’t see any sign that said “SALE” so I doubt if I should enter or not.

Environment

In the end I entered! And this is what I saw:

The colors of the store are mainly white.

The floor and ceiling are white too.

There was no music

Personnel, costumers & products

There were 3 employees, all of them were women around 30 years old.

The personnel dressed alike, no uniforms. I was the only costumer and one of the

women immediately talked to me. The sign of “SALE” was inside the store,

but it didn’t specify which of the shoes were the ones on sale so I asked the lady and she showed me.

I looked quickly and noticed a pair of black heels.

PROBLEM!! Although they were on sale, they didn’t put a sign so many costumers don’t go

inside.

SOLUTION!!

Put the sign and let the

clients know!

FOURTH STORE

Opened door

Sign with round letters and the logo.

The arrangement of the products and the opened door let the costumers see them all, welcoming them.

Environment & costumers

This store is very colorful, with colors like green, blue and of course red .

The floor here is made of wood and the ceiling is white.

The music is loud and cheery The environment was noisy because the

employees were talking with a customer They seemed to be friends with the costumer

because they were laughing All of the previous elements made me feel

happy, the environment wasn't relaxing as the ones in the other stores but it was welcoming and awakening.

Personnel, & products

There were 2 employees a man and a woman between 20 and 30 years old None of them talked to me, maybe because they were distracted by the conversation they had with their friend.

The first product I noticed was a gold watch

FIFTH STORE

Opened door

Really big sign, capital letters and colors.

This store welcomes every client with a lot of signs like if they really wanted them to enter, that’s how that made me feel!

The store is big, has a lot of products arranged by function, it is a great store for artists as it offers everything an artist needs The products at the eye level are the color pens and the notebooks. There are impulsive items near the cash register like many kind of chewing gums and cute erasers.

Environment

There is no music here, and in a store like this one that is good because it help the costumers to focus and buy exactly what they need

The environment is really quiet The prices aren't easy to find

Employees & costumers

There are 4 employees, all of them women around the 30s

They were wearing a uniform They were organizing the store so none of

them talked to me. There were 3 other customers They were alone They seemed like they were only there with a

clear purpose The employees only help the customers in

this store if they ask for help

From the outside of this store I saw that the employees were very busy because a new merchandise had arrived

There were 3 employees, 2 of them women and a man, when I entered nobody talked to me, maybe because they were so busy.

Environment, Customers & Products.

The colors in this store are mainly gray, green and white.

The shoes are arranged by type and the fist shoes I saw was a pair of basic yellow crocs.

There were no other customers.

The music was relaxing but the environment wasn’t because the people here was kind of stressed.
