RELIABILITY AND ENDURANCE

SANDWICH PANEL

A sandwich panel is the base for long-lasting and safe operation of sectional door. Specially designed sand wich panels are used to produce Alutech sectional doors and they have several ad-vantages:1. The structure of 45mm-thick panel provides

high resistance to both wind and impact loads.2. Both outer and inner steel sheets of the sand-

wich panel are interconnected in the top and bottom of the panel. This eliminates separation of the panel due to dramatic door lowering as it is really important for large and heavy indus-trial doors.

3. The door panel is made of 0.4 mm steel tape which ensures great strength characteristics of a door.

4. 16-micron thick zinc coating secures high anti-corrosion properties of the panel.

5. The front side of the panel is enameled with polyurethane coating modi�ed by polyamide particles (PUR-PA) that: • is highly resistant to scratches and cuts

caused by any mechanical action; • is well tolerated to temperature and humid-

ity �uctuations; • has high hardness and elasticity; • has excellent anticorrosion properties; • is resistant to detergents and chemicals.

To use corrosion-resistant materials is extremely important for places with humid and hostile envi-ronment, for examples, for car washes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The coefficient of thermal transmittance (U) of Alutech doors is 0.61 Watt/ m2 K that is

comparable with a brick wall of 60 cm thick.

Excellent heat insulation is the main speciality of Alutech sectional doors. They are successfully used to fit out energy-efficient buildings. Alutech sectional doors can be installed in all regions of Europe and even in the coldest parts of Scandinavia.

High heat-insulating properties of Alutech sec-tional doors are confirmed by numerous tests conducted by independent accredited laborato-ries of the St. Peters burg State Architecture and Construction University (Saint-Petersburg, Rus-sia), the Belarusian Scientific Re search Institute of Construction (Minsk, Belarus), and the Scientific Research Institute NISI (Bulgaria).

The structure of Alutech sectional doors permits to keep an optimum room temperature in all weath-ers. The coefficient of thermal transmittance (U) of Alutech sectional doors is 0.61 W / m2 K that allows to install doors in any region. Thermal insulation of the sectional doors is comparable to a 60 cm thick brick wall.

Alutech doors have high insulating properties because:

Sandwich panels are filled with freon-free foamed poly-urethane, that has a very low thermal conductivity.

Panel thickness has a decisive influence on sectional doors resistance to heat transfer. The thicker panel the higher resistance to heat.

Panels have a polymer EPDM-seal that preserves high me-chanical strength and elasticity at low temperatures. The seal eliminates gaps between panels and guarantees high thermal and sound door insulation..

Elastic polymeric rubber seals along the entire door perimeter reliably protect places from rain and snow falls or undesirable heat loss.

Alutech industrial doors completely conforms with the requirements of European safety stan-dards EN 12604 and EN12453due to the following: • The sandwich panel design ensures protection against fin-

ger jamming.

• A standard door set includes: -a protection system against door falling due to a spring break; -a protection system against door falling due to a cable break.

• Rollers move precisely along the track profiles developed by the Alutech Group. And therefore a door leaf can’t fall out of the tracks when opening a door or when it’s stopped under a ceiling.

• Doors are reliably protected against hooking and cutting due to the absence of sharp edges on constructive ele-ments and to the cable between a vertical angle profile and a door leaf.

• Automated industrial doors are equipped with special safety system. And if a sectional door touches any obstacle it will stop automatically.

• Automated doors are additionally equipped with sensors that switch off an electric drive when a cable or a torsional spring breaks.

These accessories are supplied at no extra surcharge.

Microwave

A door leaf with microwaving can hide small dam-ages of coating and keep a good look of doors for many years.

The exterior side of the microwave panel has a woodgrain embossment.

The inner side of the panel is �nished in woodgrain with horizontal ribs. Color – close to RAL9002.

S-ribbed panel

Due to symmetrical arrangements of ribs the panel joints are absolutely unnoticeable on an as-sembled door leaf.

The exterior side of the panel has a woodgrain embossment with horizontal ribs. A distance be-tween them is 125 mm.

The inner side of the panel is �nished in woodgrain with horizontal ribs. Color – close to RAL9002.

Alutech industrial doors with panoramic glazing is a modern simple combination of glass and metal that coincides with a sectional door functionality.

PANORAMIC PANEL

A panoramic panel is made of extruded alumin-ium pro�les with impact-resistant transparent acrylic sheets of 3 or 14- mm thickness. • To �t panoramic glazing with sandwich panels

both an aluminum frame and a sandwich panel have an equal 45 mm thickness.

PANORAMIC PANEL WITH COMPOSITE FILLING

A panoramic panel made of extruded aluminium pro�les with composite sandwich panels. • A 14 mm-thick composite sandwich panel is

made of two aluminium sheets and �lled with polystyrene. Both outer and inner aluminium sheets of a panel have a stucco embossment.

• A 3 mm-thick composite sandwich panel is made of two aluminium sheets and �lled with high-pressure polyethylene. Both outer and in-ner aluminium sheets of the panel are smooth.

GREAT VARIETY OF PANORAMIC GLAZING

ALP and ALPO series

All panoramic panels of a door have the same height and width. If a client wishes a panoramic door can be made of panels with glazing of 14 mm thickness (ALP se-ries) and 3 mm thickness (ALPO series).

It is possible to have various combinations of composite sandwich panels with acrylic glazing as an exclusive solution for a pan-oramic door.

ALPS and ALPSO series

A bottom panel is a steel sandwich panel with «microwave» or «horizontal S-ribbed» surface and a woodgrain embossment. All other panels are panoramic ones with glazing of 14 mm thickness (ALPS series) and 3 mm thickness (ALPSO series).

As well as ALP series all panoramic panels have the same height and width.

PO series

Steel panels can be combined with one or more panoramic panels for a natural room lighting.

Panoramic panels with acrylic glazing of 14 mm thickness are used for PO series.

DOOR LOCKING SYSTEMS

Alutech doors standard set includes a locking bar that allows to lock a door on the inside.

If premises have no extra exit a key lock can be installed. It allows to open doors from inside and outside.

The lock provides reliable door locking, can be easily installed and has a good look.

KIT FOR PLACES WITH HIGH HUMIDITY

Doors with additional anticorrosion coating of rails and springs are used for places with high hu-midity (for example, in a car wash).

Cables, rollers and screws are made of stainless steel. Corrosion resistant materials and coatings allow to extend the life of Alutech sectional doors installed in humid places.

PROTECTION AGAINST ILLEGAL ACCESS

An anti-jacking system additionally secures from a break-in.

In case of an illegal jacking attempt the protec-tion device reliably blocks the door leaf and pre-vents from a break-in.

An adjustable coupler con-nects two parts of a shaft and regulates cable tension.

Torsion springs compensate door leaf weight, that’s why even heavy doors can be easi-ly opened and closed by hand. Minimum spring endurance is 25 000 open-close cycles. To prolong the doors life it’s pos-sible to install springs with the endurance up to 100 000 open-close cycles.

A standard set of industrial doors includes a special de-vice, which stops a door leaf and prevents it from falling if a spring breaks.

This fully conforms with European safety standard EN12604.

Intermediate hinges of spe-cial shape have high strength characteristics, that allows to have door panels reliably con-nected. The hinges are made of stainless steel and have high anti-corrosion features.

Roller brackets enable to ad-just a door leaf when fitted to a passage. This provides buildings with additional thermal insulation.

The brackets are made of stainless steel and have high anti-corrosion features.

Special bottom brackets are applied to prevent a door leaf from closing or falling in case a cable breaks or its tension reduces. This fully conforms with European safety stan-dard EN12604.

A bottom seal of a special shape compensates any floor irregularity and provides reli-able hermetization of a pas-sage from the very bottom. The seal has a cavity for op-tical sensors to secure auto-mated doors.

To protect the bottom seal special regulated stoppers are used at the bottom of a profile. They protect the seal against excessive deforma-tion and prevent optical sen-sors from any damage.
