2nd Alumni Meet

Met’s Institute of Engineering has organized the Alumni Meet on 19.01.19 (Saturday) in

Department of Mechanical Engineering Seminar Hall. The alumni meet is conducted

every year in order to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various

achievements.

The Alumni started arriving in college by 10.00 a.m. and they were received by the

registration team and were taken on a campus tour where they revisited the familiar place

where they had studied and were shown the various developments that had taken place

since then.

2nd Alumni Meet

The Alumni Meet started with an invocation song seeking the blessings of almighty by

T.E.Mechanical Students. The hosts of the event, Adnan & Vatsal T.E. Mechanical

invited the dignitaries to occupy the dais. To start the occasion on an auspicious note,

Principal Dr.V.P.Wani, proceeded to the dais for the lighting of the lamp, accompanied

by HOD Dr. M.P.Ray along with alumni & senior faculties of the department.

Our HOD Dr. M.P.Ray, welcomed all the dignitaries and all the alumni for responding

to the invitation from college and being present for the alumni meet in spite of their busy

schedule.

Then proceeded with presenting the college report highlighting the various milestones

reached in the past year. Report Presented by Prof.S.K.Dahake.

Some notable points were:

1. He told about all the departments in college and the total strength of the students. He

mentioned new facilities added in college.

2. He informed new addition in the department like Ph.D. Research Centre & research

facility for Ph.D. Scholar

3. He spoke about technical fest and placement in recent years.

[Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Company Limited, Vikhroli, Mumbai]

Our Alumni Mr. Nilesh Ghule currently working as manager in Godrej & Boyce Mfg.

Company Limited, Vikhroli, Mumbai share his college memories with junior students.

He was MESA President in AY 2015-16.

Also explain the benefits of different technical events held by college for placement.

Vote of thanks proposed by Prof.S.B.Patil

He thanked the Alumni for taking the time to come for the Alumni Meet who have

made it a very special and memorable one. He thanked the various organizers of the

event (teaching, non-teaching staff and the enthusiastic student volunteers) whose

hard work and dedication made the event possible.

He also thanked the management of MET’s Institute of Engineering for the support

and guidance which has made Alumni Meet 2019 a grand success.3
