Downdraft paint booth requirements:
• Equipment designed, constructed and installed in accordance with the BOCA Building and Material Codes, NFPA 33 and 70, OSHA and all applicable local, state and federal codes
• Ceiling filter at least 160 sq. ft.
• Lighting: - Must utilize daylight corrective lamps with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 90 or greater. - Lighting levels must be of average 100 foot- candles on the sides and the top of the cabin and lighting adequate minimum foot candles at the center of booth, and upper and corner color-corrected fluorescent lamps (discretion of Axalta auditor)
• The exhaust system must be capable of a minimum of 75 -150 Linear Feet per Minute (LFpM) and a 100 ft/min measured at the face of the vehicle shell at 14,000 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) to satisfy OSHA standards
• Must have heat supply system with direct-fired burners at 1.5 MBTU capacity
