7 Load Distribution The Load Distribution window displays a graphical representation of the aircraft hold layout. You can use this window to view, create, modify and locate deadload. Deadload can be manually or automatically located.

7.1 Distributing the Load There are a several ways that you can locate items of Deadload onto the aircraft: • Autoload • Manual Load Location • A combination of Autoload and manual location. For example, you can: - Manually locate certain Deadload items before instructing the application to automatically locate the remaining Deadload items.

Page 26: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 25

- Manually amend a load distribution that is the result of the Autoload function.

7.1.1 Autoload-105 STD

The next Activity to trigger is Autoload at – 105 minutes (1:15) STD.

This will locate the load according to the default Autoload Theme set by the Autoload Theme Name

Rule for the flight. In this example the Autoload theme is ‘Single Leg – BagsFwd’

Autoload has successfully completed, the activity is Green.

7.1.2 Manual Load Location You can manually move, locate, and unallocated Deadload items using the drag and drop function.

Page 27: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 26

After all cargo, bag and mail are distributed, click apply and approve distribution.

7.2 Approve Distribution

Prior to Approve Distribution the Load Control Status is LO, which will inhibit the next activity on the

Event Scheduler, Send LIR. From the Load Distribution Screen the load controller selects the Approve

Distribution button. Approve distribution does all the necessary legality and safety checks that

ensure the load is distributed in accordance with the airlines loading procedures.

Once the distribution has been approved the load controller is notified with a medium priority

message and the Load Control Status changes to LC.

If a compartment is overloaded, the associated cell in the display becomes red we must move or modify the weight.

7.3 Modify Load Panel If you want to Modify or move the weight right-click on a located Deadload item in the Load Distribution hold display, a pop-up menu gives you the option to Modify Load. After that specify how much weight we will be move/split.click update, apply and approve distribution.

Page 28: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 27

Also we can modify weight using drag and drop a commodity item from the Modify Load table to the Load Distribution hold display. You can drop a Deadload item only into one of the following: • A Bulk position • A located ULD If you drag an item from the Modify Load panel commodity list to a valid location on the Load Distribution display, a dialog box opens, prompting you to specify how much of that item is to be dropped there. Example: Move Load Panel - Cargo Commodity

Example: Move Load Dialog Box - Baggage Commodity

After that click OK, apply and approve distribution.

7.4 Offloading from the Modify Load Panel You can offload Deadload items using the Modify Load table by: • Entering OFF in the Location field of the Modify Load table. • Selecting a Deadload item in the Modify Load table and clicking on the Offload button.

Or via Deadload window we can offload the deadload.see 8.d.

8 No Fit Positions and No-fit Check Box No-fit status is relevant only for containerised aircraft. No-fit positions are indicated by an N on the Load Distribution display. No-fit status can be assigned either manually or automatically: • Manually: - You can nominate a No-fit position in the Create Load panel. - You can nominate a No-fit position by selecting the No-fit option in the pop-up menu that opens when you right click on an empty position in the Load Distribution hold display.

Page 29: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 28

• Automatically - during the approve distribution process: The application automatically assigns No-fit status during distribution approval to any ULD position on the Load distribution hold display that: - Does not have a ULD assigned to it, and - Is not blocked from use by a located ULD

9 Send LIR Activity at -90 STD This activity will send the LIR to the required printers. The load distribution must be approved (load

control status must be LC) for this activity to trigger successfully.

The activity has triggered and is time stamped so the load controller knows when it was sent.

Page 30: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 29

The LIR will increment by one on the Status Bar.

You can add Supplementary Information (SI) to a LIR in the Supplementary Information panel.

10 Check for Fuel figures Activity at -75 STD This activity checks whether the fuel figures have been received from the external system. If there is

no external system suplying the fuel figures then Fm will check whether the Fuel Status is Historical,

if the fuel status is Historical it will notify the load controller that the fuel figures haven’t been

received or updated.

In this example the Fuel Status is Historical so the load controller will be notified.

Page 31: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 30

Load controller manually enters the fuel figures in the fuel screen; this changes the Fuel Status

automatically to Provisional.

11 Send Notoc -60 STD The next Activity is Send All final NOTOC.

Page 32: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 31

12 Acceptance finalized Check In has closed so the Acceptance Status is change to AF. The load controller is notified by a

High Priority Message that Acceptance has finalized.

13 Ramp Clearance Ramp clearance cannot be done unless the Load Control status is LC and an initial Loading Instruction Report (LIR) exists. To perform ramp clearance, the Load Controller can select one, a number of or all the check boxes in the associated LIR positions. The Load Controller can also ramp clear positions, by compartment, by right clicking on the compartment labels. When clicked the right click menu is displayed allowing the load controller to select the ramp clear option and then apply.

Page 33: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 32

Also You can ramp clear an individual position by right-clicking on the position and selecting Ramp Clear from the dropdown menu or you can select the check box located within the position and Then click apply.

Once these updates are applied (‘Apply’) each Ramp Cleared position will be grey out and the Load Control Status will change to Finalised (LF).

14 Baggage Variation From time to time when the ramp read back the baggage pieces for each container the number of

pieces read back doesn’t match the number of pieces accepted by the Check in system. Examples are

Page 34: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 33

non-premium baggage being given a priority tag and counted by ramp as BC but accepted as BY. Also

not all bags make the flight they are meant to be on which is why there are such bags as Rush Bags,

so these variation need to be accounted for by the load controller.

The variations can only be done when Acceptance is finalized (AF), and as a general rule the variation

can only be done on the baggage Rest location.

This container of BY in 12R is the Rest container (R) and there are actually only 18 bags….

The Load controller received a message advising of the Baggage Variation. Baggage Variation can be

checked in the Traffic Load Screen which is navigated to from the Traffic hyperlink on the Flight

Information Screen.

Page 35: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 34

Select the Baggage Variation button and display the variations.

This shows a -2 baggage variation for BY and a +3 baggage variation for BC bags.

There is also a check box which is configurable which forces the load controller to acknowledge the

variation before a Final Loadsheet can be issued

Page 36: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 35

This is the error the load controller will see if the setting forces the load controller to acknowledge

the baggage variation.

15 Send Final Loadsheet Dependencies This activity failed due the dependency of the Load Control Status being LF not LO, LC or LL, the Fuel

Status being Final not Historical or Provisional and the Acceptance Status being AF not AO, AG, or

AC.

The Load Control Status needs to be changed from Load Control Closed (LC) to Load Control

Finalized (LF). LF is achieved by Ramp clearing all the hold locations.

16 Send Final Load sheet Activity -30 STD Now the flight is in a suitable state to send the Final Loadsheet.

Fuel Status is Final (F)

Acceptance Status is AF

Load Control Status is LSF The load controller now just has to select Send Final loadsheet from the Event Scheduler.

Page 37: Altea Departure Control - Garuda Indonesia New PSS

Flight Management User Guide Page 36

The Activity is time stamped and turns green and the load control status is now LFS (Load Sheet

finalized).

17 Documents Documents window screen able to print the load sheet and another document, click edition no and

send.

Document Edition

You can select a document edition in the Edition No. dropdown menu. The list of options includes the following: • Current – the current document (1,2, 3 etc.) • New Edition – prepares a new edition of the document

Before a new document is created, New Edition is the only option listed in the Edition No. dropdown menu. After another edition of a document exists, then both editions appear in the dropdown menu.
