Idea 1:

• Alt magazine works to ensure that it is constantly appealing to its readers. From the reader who is open to experiencing new types of alternative music, to the reader who appreciates the recognizable greats in the individual music scene. We aim to inspire our reader by providing them with idealistic content which allows them to relate to their favorite artists as well as providing tips and advise on how to break onto the music scene themselves. Each issue will include a variety of popular and unsigned music to appeal to the readers addiction to indie music as well as settling their desire to discover more.

Mission statement:

• Phoebe 17, lives and breaths alternative music, it's a huge part of her life. It affects her choice of friends, fashion, attitude, and lifestyle. She is fanatical about indie music and spends a large part of her life engaging with it, if she isn't listening to music it is often her topic of conversation an she regularly attends gigs. She is heavily influenced by her musical icons which is why she reads Alt magazine as it allows her to stay connected to her favorite artists. Music is a huge part of her identity and this is encouraged by Alt magazine.

CURRENT magazine

Mission statement:

• CURRENT will ensure that it is constantly meeting the needs of its reader. We focus on the reader who wants to keep up to date on the latest chart topping music by providing them with what’s hot this month. Each issue contains a balance of genres from pop up to R&B, allowing us to appeal to everyone as well as encouraging our readers to explore genres out of their comfort zones.

Reader Profile:

• Leanne 16, loves to keep up to date with the months hottest artists, she is passionate about music and this influences her life from her fashion and attitudes, to her choice in friends and daily lifestyle. She is dedicated to her favourite artists and music is on her mind 24/7, if its not blaring through her headphones she's listening with friends and regularly attends gigs. CURRENT is a way for her to engage with her passion and make sure she knows what the latest hits are.

Mission statement:

• FUSION will ensure that we are constantly appealing to our reader. We are for the curious reader who is not only passionate about music but also craves the gossip about other aspects of their favourite artists lives. Each issue will contain a balance of music and gossip features allowing the reader to engage with artists at a more personal level whilst still appreciating their music. FUSION guarantees to provide our readers with content that will satisfy their appetite for great music as well as feeding their desire to be up to date with the latest gossip in the music scene.

Reader profile:

• Paige 17, is crazy about music and devoted to her favourite artists, she is not satisfied unless she's completely up to date with everything there is to know. Her idols influence her life, from the way she dresses to her attitudes and opinion, music is something she can share with her friends and enjoy on her own so therefore is with her wherever she goes. FUSION allows her passion to thrive and settle her curiosity.
