Alstom establishes its individual and collective values
Message from the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Alstom is now engaged on a sustained and durable growth strategy. It is
thus essential that everyone throughout the Group, regardless of the entity
they belong to, the function they carry out or the country they work in, share
a common definition of Alstoms vision, ambition and values. A shared
identity, ambition and vision reinforces the image that we give of ourselves,
built on two key assets: our technological expertise to support economic and
social development, while respecting the environment, and our care for
people strategy. Shared values ensure cohesion within the Group, oursense of team work and our individual commitment.
This shared identity and values will strengthen the foundation of our Group
in our two activities, and contribute to the confidence of our customers, our
partners and suppliers, our shareholders, the public and all the other
stakeholders who are involved in our activities and development.
I want these values to be firmly established, to be communicated to all our people and to be integrated by all of
us in our daily activities. This brand and values platform, the result of a shared building process, is currently
being deployed throughout Alstom. I count on all of you to make it your own as a tool for progress.

Our common values
We share three essential values: Trust, Teamand Action. These values have been selected by the Groups Executive
Committee as they correspond to the way in which the Group has defined its fundamental rules. These rules shall protect
us in the future against the problems we encountered in the past.
These values integrate and reinforce the rules of behaviour already implemented in the Companys Sectors.
Trust
Alstom, with its two activities, three Sectors, several management structures, units, production sites and countries, is by
definition a complex company. Mutual trust between colleagues and management is essential for the proper conduct of
our business and the efficient management of our projects.
This trust is built on; the responsibilitygiven to each decision maker, the delegationofauthority given, the belief of
each employee in the importance of their role in the Groups well-being and development. It is also built on the
openness of each individual to his or her professional environment, ensuring transparency, which is vital in themanagement of risks.
Team
Alstoms business is based on delivering projects which require our collective discipline and efforts to execute them
successfully, and networking to ensure we take full advantage of all the competencies available. This team spirit,
supported by the desire to develop each employee, extends to our collaboration with our partners and customers.
Action
Alstom commits to delivering products and services to its customers which meet their expectations in terms of price,quality and delivery schedules. To meet our commitments to our customers, action is a priority for all of us.
