Allscripts Open App Challenge Goals

Part of a new $1 Million Health Innovation Program, which highlights the Allscripts Platform for Innovation.

Allscripts is committed to creating a true Connected Community of Health™.

The goal is to make it easier for healthcare providers to add new apps to their workflow to improve patient outcomes in a

measurable way.

IP Ownership and Eligibility

• IP Ownership • Challenge Participant owns all rights to

application/integration developed • Limited license in Phase 1 to develop

Phase 1 Start a Revolution

• Starts October 8, 2012 • Submissions Due February 3, 2013 • Winners announced at HIMSS (New

Orleans), March 3-7 • $150,000 USD in prizes to 15 winners

Phase 1 Submission Requirements and Judging

• Submission Requirements • < 5 minute video showing integration • < 15 slide powerpoint presentation

• Criteria for Judging • Usability and design of Application • Degree of development of model or prototype • Use of Allscripts APIs and standard SDK functionality • Demonstration of business plan to install and support application at Allscripts client • Innovation and unique qualities of application/integration • Mass appeal and potential for widespread adoption • Effectiveness of Application to address one of the challenge categories for submission • Emphasis placed on new development that is not currently available in the market for

Phase 2 Exceptional Outcomes

• Must join Allscripts Developer Program* • Starts March 18, 2013 • Submissions Due July 14, 2013 • Winners announced at ACE (Chicago), August

21-23, 2013 • $600,000 in prizes to 5 winners

Special ADP terms and waiver of all fees through August 31, 2013 for challenge participants
