Allianz France selects 5 startups for its accelerator based in Nice, specialising in big data, internet of things and the connected stadium
Following a call for applications and a selection process, the Allianz France accelerator has chosen 5 startups for its first promotion: Investwall, LucieLabs, My Coach Foot, SynchroNext and Vulog.
After a call for applications launched on 19th February and after selecting more than 50 considered startups, the jury, made up of representatives from Allianz France, Bpifrance and Idinvest Partners, selected 5 promising startups in the field of big data, internet of things, the connected stadium and FinTech.
The 5 startups selected by the Allianz France accelerator
Investwall: FinTech / social network dedicated to finance
InvestWall, a collaborative platform dedicated to finance, seeks to collect and organise crowd investment intelligence by providing a different view of financial markets. InvestWall’s aim is to become a leading international player in the market of financial social media. LucieLabs: wearable / connected stadium / entertainment
LucieLabs increases the user experience in stadiums, at concerts and in theatres with its smart connected LED bracelet. The crowd is an integral part of an event and interacts with the show (stage/equipment). The associated platform (Software as a Service) makes events more fun (monitors crowd movement, lighting effects linked to music), and introduces new services (payment, checks upon entry). My Coach Foot: sport / big data / wearable My Coach Foot is a multi-‐channel application for football coaches, which has 3,600 paid subscribers and 185,000 registered players. My Coach Foot is the country’s market leader and is used all over France. Currently a huge success, the company is moving on to an international market. They are also expanding their technological offer to wearables and other sports. Synchronext: predictive big data
SynchroNext is specialised in the development of algorithms drawn from the physics of of information. Its aim is to become one of the major players in predictive Web. In partnership with CNRS and INRIA, the startup is developing SynchroBot, a conversational agent based on a combination of semantic web, natural language processing and big data for B2B et B2C markets. SynchroNext has also developed LifeWeather, which serves as a large-‐scale laboratory to test predictive algorithms. Vulog: car-‐sharing technology / big data
Vulog is a patented next-‐generation car-‐sharing technology (free floating) used in particular by Auto-‐Bleue in Nice and also by various other services in Europe and North America. As the market is now mature, the startup is entering a period of strong growth.
These 5 startups will enter the Allianz acceleration programme in May for a period of 5 months. They will be set-‐up in the heart of the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice. They will benefit from renowned funders and investors, including Bpifrance and Idinvest Partners, and from a structured framework of support with a network of experts and mentors. They may also be offered a strategic partnership with Allianz or be able to test their solution overseas, thanks to the group’s international presence in over 70 countries. “This first startup batch is an important step for the Allianz accelerator and for its commitment to startups in order to develop the future champions of big data and internet of things. The cross innovation implemented with these startups will allow us to change the game in the insurance industry, in particular by anticipating the models of tomorrow”, explained Sylvain Theveniaud, director of the Allianz accelerator.
