Alliance Mirage 2015-2016 Every finishing line is the new starting line! The more the human values are cherished the better will be the growth of society, the nation and the world. In line with the proverb, “Bend the twig and bend the tree”, focus is given on moulding the character of children at the tender age and developing of human values is emphasized from the primary school level. The School has successfully sailed through the first year of its existence with the blessing of the Almighty and wholehearted support from each one of you. The year that has gone through has seen abundance of learning, understanding, cooperation, adjustments and above all great experiences. Today education is all-round development of the child and Alliance International School firmly believes that physical development is a prerequisite for a strong mental ability. Ist Annual Athletic Sports Meet was conducted on February 10, 2016. Each house faced cut-throat competition in a plethora of events that included fun races like kangaroo jump, banana race, balloon burst race, flat races, relay races, discus throw, shot put, long jump etc. The best house trophy was won by Fire Hawks and the Runner up house was Bumble Bees. Mandeep Singh was adjudged the best athlete.

Sports and games an integral element of Alliance International School.

The School organizes rallies, seminars t o c u l t i v a t e c o m p a s s i o n , understanding, love and social responsibility in students. The students are taught to lead a life based on truth, love and Non-Violence to achieve true happiness and peace on Earth.

A rally was conducted to create awareness amongst the general public of the harmful effects of polythene and impress upon the need to avoid usage of polythene so as to facilitate conservation of natural resources.

S h a r m a , C h i e f Parliamentary Secretary, Punjab at Lohgarh Park, Zirakpur on 20 December 2015 -The event wore a grand festive mood with various activities, such as puppet show, science exhibition, one-minute games, nail art, dance & drawing competitions and ramp walk.

Science Exhibition by the students of Class II to VIII on 21 November 2015 at Lions Club Community Hall, Rajpura, Mrs. Harinder Kaur, DEO, Patiala and Mr.Ravinder Uppal, District Governor, Lions Club were the chief guests of the function.

Green Diwali Rally -

for promoting the spirit of active citizenship and creating an environment of caring and sharing, new woollen sweaters were collected from the students for distribution to underprivileged children of Snehalaya.

A rally

was conducted in Rajpura to make the people aware of the causes of food waste and measures to be taken to preserve / reduce food wastage so as to follow better practices in food management.

In order to promote lighting Diyas during Diwali instead of crackers, as emphasized by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, students conducted a rally on the eve of Diwali

to promote celebration of green Diwali.

67th Republic Day at Alliance International School marked the importance of Girl Child in the society. The gathering took pledge to be part of “Save the Girl Child” campaign and to create awareness amongst the people about the importance of girl child in the society.

Save Girl Child -

The school firmly believes ‘Learning by seeing’” is an effective tool to make the students understand the concepts easily as well as to reinforce the lessons learnt in the classroom. Students are regularly exposed to various field trips to enhance their innovative ideas, co-relation of real life situations, understanding of concepts and is focussed to provide suitable platform in this direction.

Indian Idol Singing Competition - Indian Idol Academy-Patiala

Territory, conducted a Workshop-cum-Audition under their “Music for all” education program on 23.01.2016. The selected students were given the opportunity to compete in the singing competition which was held on 06.02.2016. Manav of Alliance International School and Apoorva and Gurpreet from Rajpura have been adjudged the top 3 performers.

Big FM - 92.7 Big FM conducted an event to identify and assess the students’ capability to be Junior RJ. The event was anchored by Mr.Pankaj of 92.7. 6 students (Gungun Tyagi, Aakashdeep Singh, Taranjot Singh, Manav, Japneet, Raghav) were selected for the final junior RJ. Manav of class IV was selected as Junior RJ .

2 Sports : Students participated in inter-school competitions such as Taekwondo and Skating during the year. Students have always been encouraged and provided opportunities to participate in various inter-school level and state level sports events.
