Naya Nepal! An expression that truly reflects an historic turn into Nepalese history? Let’s give time to the time to appreciate the efforts of Nepalese to build their naya Nepal. In every case, the polls designed to fill the 601 seats of the constituent assembly should reflect a multiplicity of point of views and expression of the contemporary Nepalese society walking towards modernity.
Naya Nepal, modernity, contemporary Nepal… let’s leave politic apart for a moment to look at another fact of life that can’t be ignored anymore in the cultural landscape of the capital: the International Music Day. Many artists are already getting prepared to show you their programs (musical) and to put their talent forward to seduce you.
French initiative at the beginning, the spirit and fundamental principles of this Day have since long crossed borders and we are now celebrating the music in 120 countries through 5 continents. The Music Day brings new musical trends, it often announces, it always conveys : renewal of traditional music, explosion of musical forms, development of local initiatives… This Day is yours!
The vitality of the Day also relies on the energies of all volunteers who get individually involved to give this exceptional Day its crucial part of spontaneity, its aspect of cheerful infringement. Thanks to all!
We also invite you at the beginning of June to meet Eric Lon, who will speak about ski on the rocks in the himalayas. Do not miss this meeting !
Yesterday a short films festival, concerts, theatre and exhibitions; tomorrow a new session of French classes and a Music Day; and always urges/desires and projects. Unceasing activities dedicated to the exchange and to the pedagogy; the activities of an Alliance are closely linked to those who generate it. Because there is no institutions without people to make them live, no places worth without the souls of those living in.
A bientôt !
