Does cleaning products make you itch? Well, many people think this way. According to Dr. Wedner, it is the perfume additives that cause the skin reactions and not the chemical agents. In soaps, manufactures added some sort of plant components to make the soap or detergents fancy.

The skin can be easily irritated and develop skin rashes. What must be done? Use organic soaps that have no additives, no scent, and are phthalate-free. Although phthalates are known to help improve texture, they are also known to cause allergic reactions. Products that contain such chemical may have “diethyl phthalate” on the label. Choose non-irritating brands, which are usually organic brands such as Ivory, Dove, and Tide.

For people with latex hypersensitivity, latest gloves are the most common offending products. However, there are also condoms and medical equipment that may contain latex. These products can trigger latex allergy as well. The most common symptoms of latex allergy are itchy skin rashes, cough, dyspnea, asthma, eye tearing, and irritation. Allergic reactions caused by latex may range from mild to severe symptoms. Mild symptoms include itchiness and development of skin rashes. The most severe allergic reaction is anaphylaxis. It is a life-threatening condition. It can cause difficulty of breathing due to tightening of airways, hives, and low blood pressure.

As part of treatment, and to avoid allergic reactions, latex products must be removed. In order to treat allergic reactions, antihistamines and a shot of epinephrine may be given. It is very important to use a Medic Alert bracelet if you have latex allergy. You must also bring an emergency epinephrine kit with you all the time.

If you are allergic to latex, it is best to avoid latex-containing products. This way, occurrence of allergic reactions will be prevented.

An individual who is stung by an insect may manifest swelling, pain, and redness on the affected site. The life threatening symptoms of anaphylaxis may include difficulty of breathing and swallowing, wheezing, sudden drop of blood pressure, restlessness, anxiety, and rapid pulse. In addition, swelling of the mouth, face, and throat can also be manifested. Corticosteroids are used occasionally. They are used decrease the occurrence of swelling and inflammation.

Epinephrine should be injected immediately to an individual who is at risk of anaphylaxis. When stung, Epinephrine should be given as soon as possible. This is to prevent the development of life-threatening situations. Pain, swelling, and redness are normal manifestations of insect sting.

Inhaling the odor of essential oils can make one's nasal cavities inflamed. However, essential oils are used to provide a smell like autumn leaves or dune grass to candles. Dr. Wedner suggests that you cannot acquire an allergy from it. He also suggests that a natural increased sensitivity is present to people having nasal allergies. As a result, being around candles gives them runny nose and watery eyes.

The sensation of a person with nose sensitivity is like smelling cigarette smoke. The best thing to do is to keep yourself away from candles if you have a sensitive nose. If a person loves to have candles at home, he should buy the ones with a single scent and little ingredients, just like pumpkin.

With the help of the elimination process, a person may verify which scent or ingredient is restricted to his smell. If ever you have inhaled a scented candle and experienced bad reactions, it is advised to get some fresh air.
