Some movies don’t need the usual horror elements to scare and go beyond screams, blood, violence and creatures.
There is no ghost anywhere but you can feel their presence through the

warning “Never watch it alone.” Be Careful, while reading this article, somebody may be watching you. Scared?

1. The Exorcist:
Once curious people went to a cinema hall to watch The Exorcist and they never went to watch it again.
Such a terrifying film it is. Released in 1973, the films still continues to haunt
the audiences through its disturbing scenes like possession, unusual body movements, possessed girl face and revolving head.
I bet after watching The Exorcist, either you don’t want to sleep alone or skip it
next time. But it is for sure that you praise the film for its convincing creepy scenes
without the use of any visual effect.

2. The Ring:
The film is one of the fine examples of found footage genre. You better call somebody for company while watching this bone chilling horror.
The film depicts a story of a cursed videotape and victims who dies after seven days after watching it.
The central characters in The Ring are Katie Embry, Becca and Rachel Keller played by Amber Tamblyn, Rachael Bella and Naomi Watts respectively.
A lady in white robes with face covering with black hair should not come out of your T.V. screen from the well.

3. Paranormal Activity:
If The Ring is the fine example, then Paranormal Activity is the cult classic in
found footage genre. How scary would be the movie if its poster guarantees you a nightmare?
Though the story is quite predictable: A family lives in haunted house, it is the presentation that made it a must watch horror film (but not alone).
Paranormal Activity was made in shoestring budget and was released in 2007
when major Hollywood films were proved box office failures.
The success of its first part was followed by its other installments like
Paranormal Activity 2, Paranormal Activity 3 and Paranormal Activity 4.

5. Poltergeist:
Why most of the horror films tell a story of a family living in new house which is already haunted?
But when films like Poltergeist give these run out of mill storyline a different
treatment, then it is worth to watch.
Poltergeist features the story of Carol Anne, who is stalked by a group of ghosts.
The original part was released in 1982 and is known for several creepy scenes,
especially the movement of belongings at the home.

6. The Sixth Sense:
Using a child as a medium between spirits and living world has been quite
successful in The Exorcist and so as in The Sixth Sense. The protagonist of the story is Cole, a child who can communicate with the
dead and is under the observation of Dr. Crowe. It was released in 1999 and was a major box office success due to its huge
fearing audience.
