Over the past six years, DJ Tommy Dee has become one of the most respected DJ’s from the East Coast. At only 26, his style of mixing, knowledge of music and his presence in the DJ booth, keeps the party going all night long on in local clubs and on Mixx 99.3!

Tommy began DJ’ing when was only 12 years old, hosting private parties and school dances. At 16, he found his way into the nightlife scene in Providence, opening for MTV’s DJ Skribble! Soon he was spinning at top nightclubs in Los Angeles, Charlotte, New York, Miami, Detroit and more.

In 2011, he became an official Spring Break DJ for studentcity.com spinning at Spring Break parties with LMFAO, Havana Brown and more. Last year,he hosted of a 10 city tour called “Excel in Motion” featuring Dancing with the Stars dancers along with professional dancers from all over the world. When he’s here at home, he hosts nights on Mixx 99.3, complete with his weekly Bringing Down the House mix show! Tommy says “I’m very excited to be part of the team here at Mixx 99.3!”

I’ve worked in radio since I was 12 years old. I’ve been a station mascot, a promotions intern, an overnight jock...you name it, and I did it, in order to build a career in a business that I love. I have programmed for successful radio stations in RI & CT and I’ve also had the pleasure of starting three radio stations from scratch. One in the Hamptons, one in Panama City Beach, Fla. and now, MIXX 99.3 here in Newport and South County.

My approach to programming the music on MIXX is different than other Top 40 music stations. We don’t play the same 5 songs every other hour; You can hear brand new

music and we are mixing LIVE for up to 5 hours a day. My night DJ, Tommy Dee and I both know what everyone’s asking for in the local clubs, so that’s what you hear in our mix shows.

So, look for MIXX 99.3’s DJ’s and street team out and about this season. We’ll be spinning at Paddy’s at Misquamicut Beach, on the patio at 210 Oyster Bar in Wakefield, appearing at Ocean State Waves games and at local beaches and festivals...the ALL NEW MIXX 99.3!

I’m the newest addition to the Mixx 99.3 family! I was born and raised in Connecticut and graduated from URI with a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism in 2013. I worked as a news reporter in Narragansett after graduating and have always loved writing but wanted to find a way to express myself more.

I started working for 3G Broadcasting’s AM radio station, WADK, in September 2014, doing news reports and once I’d learned the ropes, found myself loving the FM station...Mixx 99.3!

I then worked my way up to being an on-air personality for MIXX 99.3!

Now I’m the host of morning show, which includes special features like Morning Flashback, weekdays at 8AM, where listeners are taken back up to 20 years with a countdown of best song, album, movie and TV show from that day; and Latest & Greatest weekdays at 10AM, where you can here the most current, and then the best ever hit from your favorite artists!

I also do promotional appearances and work with the Mixx 99.3 street team, so you may just see me around at one of our many events!
